TOPS ATHLETICS CARNIVAL 2017 A beautiful sunny and blue sky was the backdrop for our 2017 Athletics Carnival last Thursday. It was wonderful to see so many TOPS students involved this year, having a go in the K-2 novelty events, all track events, in the Shot Put finals and in Long Jump. Congratulations to all of our students for your fantastic sportsmanship throughout the day! A HUGE thank you to those parents who volunteered their time to help at the Carnival, especially Mr Duguid for shovelling and raking the long jump pits at 8.00am and Mrs Ormerod and her merry band of canteen helpers! During the holidays Mrs Grieve will be finalising the top competitors in each event and assessing the qualifying times and distances for the Razorback Carnival, which is to be held in Week 6 of Term 3. Only 2 competitors from each event can attend the Razorback Carnival if they have qualified. Please be aware that even though a student came 1st or 2nd in their event, they will not represent at the Razorback Carnival if they did not meet the qualifying time/distance. Students will be notified via a note if they have qualified for the Razorback Carnival during Term 3. Listed over the page are the top 3 competitors from each event. Congratulations to those students. A huge congratulations to Waratah House! You are the winners of the Athletics Carnival. Mrs Manga and Mrs Grieve Carnival Coordinators
