LMBR (New financial system for all NSW Public Schools) Oakdale Public School will transition to the new NSW public schools’ finance system and a new bank account on 17th October 2016. Our office staff and I are undergoing training during Term 3 in Colo Vale. To ensure a smooth transition, there will be changes to the way we accept parent or carer payments- Cash and cheque payments: Between 12 October 2016 and 17 October 2016, we will also not be able to accept payments by cash or cheque as we prepare to close our current bank account and transition to the new one. Please ensure that you have made any outstanding cash or cheque payments before 12 October 2016. From 18 October 2016, cash and cheque payments will be accepted as before. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we transition to our new finance system. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs Green.

There will be cut off dates for all payments that have to be adhered to as we no longer make the cheques for payment; the DoE will take this over in all schools.

Rule for the Term

BE SAFE How can I be safe? It would be great if parents could discuss these points with their child: *Follow teacher directions *Listen carefully to all instructions *Play in the correct areas so a teacher can see you *Tell a teacher on the playground if you need to go to the toilet-take another student with you *Tell a teacher on the playground if you are concerned about something or if you have been hurt or someone is playing too roughly (more to come in the next newsletter) *If you can see something dangerous in the playground such as broken glass do not touch it but immediately tell a teacher *Ensure your shoelaces are tied to avoid accidents *If a student tells you they are going to do something silly and you think it could be dangerous tell the duty teacher or class teacher *Do not throw sticks, rocks or drink bottles etc. as they could injure another person
