Success of the Adoption ContractSince the beginning of the adoption contract on July 1, 2010, 438 adoptions have been finalized by private agencies in West Virginia. Of these finalizations, 197 or 45% were completed by an Alliance agency:

Alliance Agencies Statewide Footprint

• The Alliance Agencies are either headquartered in, or have offices in nineteen of the fifty-five counties in West Virginia, or, approximately 35%.

• Headquarters/Locations: Cabell, Greenbrier, Harrison, Kanawha, Mineral and Randolph counties.

• Other Locations: Berkeley, Cabell, Greenbrier, Hampshire, Hardy, Kanawha, Logan, Marion, McDowell, Mercer, Monongalia, Nicholas, Ohio, Raleigh, Taylor, and Wood counties.

• The Alliance for Children serves 555 children in out-of-home care, daily, from all over the state of West Virginia utilizing these nineteen locations.
