Often, it is desirable to replace the name of the direct object with a pronoun
Example: Paul bought the flowers. He took the flowers home and gave the flowers to his wife.
When the pronoun replaces the name of the direct object, use the following pronouns:
Me (me)
Te (you-familiar)
Lo, la (him, her, it, you- formal)
Nos (us)
Os (you- all- familiar)
Los, las (them, you- all-formal)
In a affirmative statement with one verb, the direct object pronoun comes immediately before the conjugated verb.
Tengo: I have
Tengo la pluma: I have the pen
La tengo: I have it

THE NUMBERS IN OUR NATURE
If you think of math as a subject that is concerned only with
lifeless numbers,
then you might be in for a surprise. At first, nature appears to be
full of unique
features and diverse species. A world away from the limits and
control of mathematical rules. However, there is actually a clear
link between mathematics and a range of Mother Nature’s
features and creations which may completely change your view
of the world we live in.
