The Northeast Wisconsin Veterans Memorial is a project of the
Northeast Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Alliance, which currently is
governed by a Board of Directors of nine former military servicemen
and supporters. They are: Chairman Ron Bredael Vice Chair Tony
Varga Treasurer Harold Pfotenhauer Secretary Dave Behrend Director
Bob Adlebush Director John Havey Director Ron Ross Director John
Walschinski Geoff Farr, Ex Officio The Northeast Wisconsin Veterans
Memorial Alliance is a federally recognized non-profit charitable
organization whose purpose is to design, finance and build a
memorial site honoring veterans both living and those who have
given the ultimate sacrifice. The project will be known as the
Northeast Wisconsin Veterans Memorial, which will be located on
donated land within the Village of Howard, but will be designed and
promoted to serve a 16-county region in Northeast Wisconsin.

The Northeast Wisconsin Veterans Memorial will be located on a
two-acre parcel at Howard Memorial Park. The park is located on
Riverview Drive, off Velp Avenue and just west of U.S. 41. VELP

The arched entrance to the Northeast Wisconsin Veterans
Memorial will include gates surrounded by a brick area, the back of
which corporate donor plates will be installed. FRONT BACK

A reflecting pool provides a sense of solemnity as a visitor
approaches the monument housing the names of those you gave the
ultimate sacrifice.

The monument will honor those who have served in each of the
military branches and also the heroes who lost their lives in
service of our country.

A gazebo will serve the dual purpose of offering a shaded
seating area to visitors during non-event days, while also
providing a staging area for formal gatherings.

architectural details that will make the memorial a truly special
place to visit.

Using durable brick, stone, and marble, the memorial is
designed to be a place that many generations will be able to visit,
reflect, and pay tribute to those exceptional people who have
served our country.

A 50 foot wide reflecting pool is home to a kneeling soldier
statue.
