Features of The Nile

• About 105 million people live along its river banks

• It runs through Egypt, Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda and Burundi

• Two principal sources: the White Nile and the Blue Nile

• Concentrates wildlife

•Nile crocodiles still survive and fish are plentiful

•Pollution became a problem after 1970 and the completion of the Aswan High Dam
