InNovember,NorthFloridaCommunityCollegeannouncedplanstoselectanewnamefortheCollegeafterreceivingapprovalfromtheStateBoardofEducationtobeginaBachelorofScienceinNursing,theCollege’sfirstbaccalaureatelevelprogram.OnTuesdayattheNFCCDistrictBoardofTrustees’regularscheduledmeeting,theNFCCBoardvotedonandapprovedNorthFloridaCollegeasthenewnamethattheywouldlikeNFCCPresidentJohnGrosskopftotakeforwardtotheFloridaLegislatureinFebruaryforapproval.Ifapprovedbythestate,NFCCwillofficiallyadoptthenewnameinJuneasitbeginsadvisingandmarketingforFallTerm2017whichbeginsinlateAugust.
