Hi Everyone,

I recently participated in the state Konara at Glenfield in Sydney. Konara is a state training

camp for Joey Leaders and it is only held once every three years. I had a wonderful time

catching up with other joey leaders and sharing and learning great ideas for our Joey Mobs.

We have been fairly quiet on the joey front however I do have some exciting news. I would

like to send out a big welcome Hop to our newest joey Felicity. We look sharing your joey

journey with you and your family.

Section Updates

Over the past 2 months Rovers have been busy with the crew currently standing at 3 Rover Knights, 11

Rover Squires and 1 Recruit. Our Squires are actively working on their Squire training, which is the first step

towards their Baden Powell Scout award and becoming fully active members of the Rover community. We

have 3 Venturers who are receiving our section newsletter Lone Rover as they are 17 ½ I invite them get in

touch with the crew and commence their link badge, contact details in Lone Rover or at the end of Bunora.

The crew is also working with Fellowship on the groups 100th Anniversary celebrations next year, if you

know someone who has previously been part of the group please make sure you get them to contact us or

pass on their details so they can be invited to the celebrations. Over the next few months we have at least 5

camps planned with activities ranging from service, geocaching and even the booting of our eldest member

who recently turned 26 and as such is no longer young enough to be a youth member.

The Fellowship invested two new members at the North Coast Region Rally. Nigel Petersen invested Scott Witchard and Christine Challinor. Trevor and Helen Nickl were also present.

Stephen, Matthew, Jacinta and Liz attended the June long week end camp and had a great time meeting

people at a very relaxing camp. Les Goodfellow and Peter Nickl attended the Greater Western Sydney

Jamborette on the June Long Weekend.

Planning has started on Centenary events. We are trying to contact past NSW Lones members, if you know

any can you please send through their contact details to Jacinta.
