The SAT is the first step toward university education for all students. It pro-vides a trusted, globally recognized indicator of your academic readiness and accepted by nearly all colleges and universities. There are many reasons to take the SAT listed on College Board:

It tests what you already know- The SAT tests the reading, writing and math skills that you learn in school and that are critical for success in college and beyond.

It’s fair to everyone- The questions are rigorously researched and tested to make sure students from all backgrounds have an equal chance to do well. The test is straightforward. Students who do well in the classroom are often the same ones who will do well on the SAT.

It’s more than just a test- The SAT also provides the opportunity for you to connect to scholarship opportunities and learn more about your academic strengths.

It helps you select the right fit for college- SAT scores are among the factors considered in college admission. You will find more information on https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-search.

The next SAT exam is on Saturday, December 6, 2014. Best of luck to all our students who will be taking the SAT. This link will provide you with information on what to expect on test day, including a checklist of last-minute reminders to review the day before the test.

The SAT practice is available through the College Board website.
