– The new CAP Web system
G4CAP is the official system from the 1st of August 2015 and comes from theprevious *LIO systems, developed from 2005 to 2015.G4CAP evolution is based on a new approach where the end-user is at the centerof the development process and his feedbacks are driving the system evolution.
The main workflow is basically the same as previous *LIO systems, but new toolsand new functionalities are being developed to have best overview over thewhole campaign under every possible point of view.
Now G4CAP provides every registered user with a new Users’ feedbacksmodule, where everybody will be able to propose, in any moment, newfeatures, corrections, or improvements and vote the ones proposed byother G4CAP users. Most voted suggestions will be implemented morequickly, after JRC approval.

During last CAP conference in Dresden, JRC collected 15 useful feedbacks(see table on the right) from MS Administrations users and has been able totake most of them into consideration, to improve the system under an
operative perspective.
After this experience, we ask you to come also this year to the G4CAPtraining session, in order to see the new developments you will be ableto exploit in 2016 Campaign and provide us with new suggestions toimprove your daily work.

– The new features
The MS Campaign status map
This functionality was already available for EC users on a Campaign level, but it was decided to provide alsoMSs and Contractors users with the same feature, to provide them with an overview at MS level. This newfunctionality is accessible from the Zone module, choosing the Campaign year the user is interested in.
Users in Dresden 2014 asked to be able to compare all the Acquisition Windowsdefined for their Member State, so now in the Image Request module it ispossible to access the new MS Acquisition Windows chart, where all theAcquisition Windows defined for the selected Campaign are displayed in thesame 2D-chart. Periods of interest can easily be selected at user’s discretion.

2015
One of the goals of G4CAP is to create just one robust and comprehensive system for bothCAP information and the image campaign acquisition. In this direction, starting from the2016 Campaign, the pre-Image Request module has been restructured and included withinG4CAP, so the provided pre-IR information will be used also in the other parts of theworkflow to guide the users in their inputs.
