Background information on The New York Yankees

The New York Yankees colors are navy blue and white. They play at their brand new stadium in Bronx, New York. Although currently the Yankees do not have a mascot, back in the day they had one named dandy. The Yankees entered major league baseball in 1901. They are the 27 time world series champions. Although they did not make it to the series final last year they lost to the Texas Rangers who went on to the final round of the series.
