By using a brand new technology Danfoss has developed an outstanding environmentally friendly compressor that uses propane as refrigerant.

Tailored to the predominant applications in the market ranging from LBP to MBP our latest addition is available in a wide product range from TL5CN to SC21CNX.2 that enables considerable energy savings with small compressor dimensions and dis-placement respectively.

The new propane compressor offers a very high cooling capacity, particularly at low and very low evaporating temperatures (-30°C to -40°C), and it is the right choice if you are looking for a green solution.

R290 is flammable in concentra-tions of air between approxi-mately 2.1% and 9.5% by volume (LFL lower flammable limit and

UFL upper flammable limit). An ignition source at a temperature higher than 470°C is needed for a com-bustion to occur (yellow warning label).Max refrigerant charge 150 g.

All related Danfoss compressors for use with flammable refrigerant R290 are now equipped with a VDE approved gas tight relay usable for hydrocarbon applications according to EN/IEC 60335-2-24. Hereby it is no longer necessary to place the starting device outside the compressor compartment.The new approved relay for the CNX.2 types is white (nature) in colour.
