Precise and horizontal lines highlight the athletic build of the new Superb. The LED technology combined with the crystalline design elements in the distinctive C-shaped rear lights further adds to the feeling of poised elegance.

DESIGNThe ŠKODA designers responsible for the new Superb were set a clear task:

to create a car revolutionary in terms of both technological sophistication

and design. The result of their efforts is the new Superb; taking ŠKODA's

design language to a completely new level.

The side of the new Superb radiates a dynamic profile with emotional appeal - a result of perfectly-balanced proportions and sporty silhouette. The wheelbase has been extended by 80 mm as compared to the previous generation. Moreover, the visual appearance of the side profile has been reduced by making the headlights and taillights reach deep into the sides; with clean-cut surface planes combined with bold edges.

The front view of the new ŠKODA Superb is characterised by a wide radiator grille, centrally positioned logo and dynamically contoured bonnet. The razor-sharp wide headlights and front fog lights also help conjure up a striking brand individuality.

Inspired by the VisionC concept car, the designers have extended the bonnet edges as far as the line that goes between the bottom and top sections of the vehicle creating a so-called "Tornado Line 360". As a result, the front looks compact despite the variety of shapes used in it.

The sleek contours of the door mirrors with integrated indicators give the new Superb a sporty look, whilst maintaining total functionality.

EXTERIOR

In addition to being electrically-adjustable and heated, the door mirrors retract automatically once the car is locked. Activated upon unlocking and opening the door, the LED environment lights illuminate to help you see surroundings more clearly such as puddles.

Furthermore, the mirrors feature auto dimming and memory function, allowing the mirrors to automatically adjust to the setting of the driver's preference.

Bi-Xenon headlights with Adaptive Front Light System and LED daytime running lights celebrate the renowned Bohemian glass-cutting skills. The integrated headlight washers ensure headlights are clean so visibility is maximised.

The optional, electrically-adjustable panoramic sunroof gives you the feeling of unlimited space and freedom. On the wagon, the sunroof boasts over one metre in length. The front part of the sunroof can be tilted up and slid backwards, whilst the rear part is firmly built into the roof.

INTERIOR COMFORTLoaded with thoughtful features, the new Superb delivers exceptional

comfort, whether its staying relaxed during long journeys or being

entertained whilst on the move.

The 3-spoke multifunctional steering wheel allows full control of the Bluetooth® phone and audio streaming, as well as the control of the trip computer functionalities and vehicle status. The steering wheel can also be upgraded to include paddle shifters* for the sporting enthusiasts.

Advanced Keyless Entry including Smart Start (KESSY)* can be added to allow the driver to lock and unlock the car and start and stop the engine without having to insert or even handle the key. As long as the key is within 1.5m of the sensor, the system will work, and a number of simply clever features ensure you can check the lock, preventing you from locking the key inside and preventing unwanted access.

Whilst most competitors offer dual zone climate control, the Superb's three-zone Climatronic air-conditioning allows the driver, front passenger and rear passengers to set their own preferred temperature independently. At the same time, an enhanced air filtration system improves cabin air quality, reducing dust and pollen.

For added convenience, the new Superb is equipped with electrically-adjustable driver seat with memory function. Memory function stores three separate positions of the seat and external mirrors. Electrically adjustable front passenger seat is available in the optional Comfort Pack.

The ambient lighting* throughout the Superb cabin creates the perfect mood, making your journey more enjoyable and comfortable. Intensity of the lights can be adjusted via the Columbus infotainment unit.

The comfort foot rests for rear passengers attach to the floor mats, providing added comfort for long journeys.

Rear sun shade covers provide protection from the sun on long journeys.

The illuminated and air-conditioned glove box in the lower part of the dashboard by the front passenger is a convenient place to stow away items.

CLEVER INSIDEThere’s a place for everything, even in your car. The new Superb features a

multitude of compartments, pockets and holders, keeping your elegant interior tidy

and your belongings safe.

A spacious storage compartment is housed in the front armrest, within which you can store items safely, or keep them cool. Cup holders can also be found in the centre console. For added convenience, a base grip bottle opener is fitted allowing the driver to easily open bottles with one hand.

The tablet holder enables you to securely f it your d e v i c e t o t h e r e a r armrest or the front seat headrest , which wil l keep rear passengers entertained throughout any journey.

You will find a 1.5-l bottle holder in a spacious compartment in the front and rear doors.

The rear passenger armrest contains two cup holders for convenience.

A unique novelty on all Superb are the two original Superb Umbrellas, situated inside both front doors. The compartments are designed so that the water from the wet umbrella flows away from the car, keeping the interior dry.

Two plastic cargo elements are located within the Superb's boot, ideal for securing items. Fitted with velcro, they can be attached to the boot floor and when not in use, can be conveniently stowed away behind both rear wells in the boot.

Now it is possible to open the boot simply by sweeping your foot underneath the rear bumper, thanks to the new Virtual Pedal*. This feature enables hands-free access to the electric tailgate.

Alternatively, when Virtual Pedal* is equipped, access to the electric tailgate can be opened and closed through conventional means at a mere touch of a button. The tailgate can be operated from four separate locations:

- from the remote control

- from the centre console

- from the internal button on the tailgate

- from the external soft-touch button

Hidden within the new Superb's sleek design is exceptional space. The luggage capacity is one of the largest in its class, competing

with large SUV's. For added practicality, Simply Clever solutions have been added to make handling luggage even easier.

Foldable hooks, located on the sides of the luggage compartment, make shopping items easier to transport and more secure.

The new Superb is one of the largest in its class for space; the Sedan boasts 625 litres of boot space, whilst the Wagon offers a capacity of 660 litres , stretched to 1,950 litres with the rear seats folded down.

Under the rolling cover in the wagon serves a convenient open storage holder for transporting lightweight items securely.

When Virtual Pedal* is equipped, the rolling cover of the luggage compartment provides shifts to the centre position after the electric tailgate is opened, making it easily accessible to luggage

For those who love their music, the eight speaker sound system can be upgraded to a premium, German Canton Sound System* with twelve speakers, including a central speaker and subwoofer. Canton also adds a digital equaliser; sound level controls allowing optimisation for all or individual occupants; vehicle noise cancellation and the ability to play Dolby 5.1 surround sound.

Your car and smartphone are now in perfect sync. The SmartLink* system delivers a seamless connection between your car and selected apps from your smartphone using, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ interfaces. Whether you want to select and listen to music on your smartphone or receive turn-by-turn directions, selected apps are mirrored and can be controlled via the Superb’s Columbus infotainment unit.

The car stereo, Columbus Navigation System and trip computer are housed in one system that gives the driver access to the vehicle setup and comfort functions through a single device. The proximity sensor recognises when a hand is moving towards the touchscreen and brings up the function buttons ready to be used, while intuitive swiping and pinching movements allow the user to scroll menus and zoom into maps easily.

Passenger Protect Assist^ uses information from the car's braking and electronic systems to recognise when there is a high chance of collision. If this is detected, the front seat belts will tighten and the sunroof (if equipped) and windows will close to help keep the car's occupants in the optimum position for airbag deployment and reduce items flying into the car. Drivers who prefer to desensitise the Passenger Protect Assist can change these settings on their touchscreen display.

It can also play a predictive role in conjunction with the front radar (Front Assist). Monitoring the traffic ahead, the Passenger Protect Assist is able to predict emergencies and intervene across a wider range of situations.

SAFETYOutstanding attention to design and detail means you benefit from not only sophistication,

but also exceptional levels of safety for you and your loved ones. In addition to the essential

prerequisites of safety such as the exceptionally strong body and excellent driving

characteristics of the vehicle, the Superb offers nine airbags* as standard.

An outstanding, technological advancement, standard on the new Superb is Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)* - an extension of the conventional cruise control system with advanced capabilities based on a radar sensor located on the front grille. When ACC is activated, the vehicle automatically brakes and accelerates to a speed and distance set by the driver. The dynamics of the ACC system can be individually varied by selecting one of the driving programs from the Driving Mode Selection.

Utilising the same radar sensor, the Front Assist* safety system monitors the area in front of the car at speeds above 30km/h. Using predefined algorithms, it decides whether these objects pose a potential risk of collision and alerts the driver if the distance to object is insufficient – initially with a tone and an alert on the multi-functional display; followed by a warning jolt of the brakes. If the driver doesn't respond, the car will brake itself – all the way to a standstill if needed, helping to avoid a collision or reduce the severity of the accident. It can be turned off by the driver via the touchscreen. For vehicle speeds below 30km/h, City Emergency Brake is designed to help a driver avoid a low-speed crash or to reduce its severity.

DRIVER ASSISTSThe new Superb puts a host of innovative assist systems at your service, offering

unrivalled convenience and greater safety than ever before.

Lane Assist^* is a lane departure warning system that is designed to help reduce the likelihood of the vehicle leaving the road or crossing into an oncoming lane and therefore the risk of accident as a result of driver distraction or a lapse in concentration. Using a camera positioned within the rear-view mirror unit, it actively recognises lane markings and takes correc t ive ac t ion by gently steering you back on course. The system is also equipped with a warning tone and message in the multi-function display for s i t uat ions t hat requi re additional actions from the driver.

For those wishing to make both parallel parking and bay parking easier than ever, an Automatic Parking Assist^* can be added. With a press of a button, the system will begin searching for a parking space in a line of cars or other obstacles. When a suitable space is found (the car's length + 60cm is all the space needed), the car will steer itself into the space whilst the driver controls the pedals. This system will now also steer the car out of a line of cars from its parking space and with two presses of the same button, the car will search for and manoeuvre into a bay parking space.

Standard across all variants, the Rear View Camera* gives a clear view of objects usually out of sight allowing the driver to manoeuvre with added conf idence and safety. When in reverse, the infotainment unit reveals a real-time image display with superimposed graphic lines thanks to the camera built into the tailgate.

Fatigue Detection* monitors the movement of the driver through the steering wheel and if the driver begins to display signs of fatigue, the car will audibly alert the driver with a tone and show a break recommendation alert on the multi-function display.

The Traffic Jam Assist^* is a comfort function designed to facilitate the driving of the new Superb in traffic jams. By controlling the engine, brakes and steering, it makes the vehicle pull away, brake and turn to copy the movement of the surrounding vehicles (at speeds of up to 60 km/h).

Side Assist (Blind Spot Detection)^* uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to monitor the blind areas behind and beside the car. Based on the distance and speed of the surrounding vehicles, it decides whether or not it should warn the driver, with optical and acoustic signals.

Using the same radar sensors, the Rear Traffic Alert^* feature helps you reverse safely from a parking space with poor visibility. It can even engage the brakes automatically if it detects imminent danger.

The Superb offers two impressive 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engines. The powerful 162TSI from the sporty Octavia RS, provides incredible power and torque, yet remaining fuel efficient at 6.4L/100km~. For those in the pursuit for speed, the Superb 206TSI 4x4 engine channels 206kW of power and 350Nm of torque, offering heart-thumping excitement from idle to redline. With the latest in all-wheel-drive technology ensuring optimum grip during fast cornering, you’ll never feel more at one with the road than in a Superb 4x4.

In addition to the petrol variants, the 140TDI turbocharged diesel engine offers a strong 400Nm with a remarkable combined fuel economy of 4.8L/100km~. Based on this figure, the 140TDI has an extraordinary fuel range of almost 1400km on a single tank.

ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONIf the design of the Superb teased you from the outside, a closer look under the bonnet will set your pulse racing. The new generation of petrol and diesel engines offers outstanding performance without compromising on fuel economy and comfort. All engines feature Green Tech* - a technology allowing for further improvement in fuel economy through the "Start Stop" and Brake Energy Recuperation features. "Start Stop" allows the engine to automatically switch off when idle and immediately switch back on as soon as the brake or clutch pedals are released. “Stop Start” can be deactivated when required. In addition, Brake Energy Recuperation enables the use of kinetic energy to charge the car battery when the brakes are applied.

All engine platforms are coupled with a 6-Speed DSG automatic gearbox which uses two clutches and two sets of gears to preselect your next gear while you’re still driving in your current gear. Used in nearly all high-end sports cars, DSG dual-clutch technology is trusted by the world’s leading car manufacturers.

Enjoy the high performance of your car in maximum comfort and safety. The Adaptive Chassis Control* continuously evaluates and responds to various driving situations (braking, acceleration, turning), adapting the damping and steering characteristics. As part of the infotainment menu, Driving Mode Selection allows the driver to adapt the car's behaviour to their preference or needs. Five driving modes are available: Normal, Sport, Eco, Comfort and Individual (Individual allowing the driver to configure their own settings). The car will then adapt the engine torque, accelerator sensitivity, power steering, headlight control (with AFS), DSG transmission, and air conditioning to suit the profile selected.

If you wish to trade-in your ŠKODA for a new vehicle, all you need to do is return it to the dealership. If the trade-in value is higher than the Guaranteed Future Value, you can use this equity towards your new vehicle.

If you prefer to retain your ŠKODA, simply let us know.
