An Important Message About your 2013 NetPlus RebateSince we started NetPlus 11 years ago, we have reconciled your purchases by comparing

a report you sent to us against reports the suppliers sent in during the year. This was a very time consuming (and somewhat painful) process that yielded mixed results and caused our rebate check distribution to be pushed out to June.

Our year-end reconciliation process for 2012 uncovered over $3.3 million in unreported purchases. The reasons include missed branches, assigned sales to a member with a similar name, not picking up the sales of a new member, and most often, not reporting the sales of a member that has added a NetPlus supplier during the year. It is important that you not only review the suppliers that have reported sales for your company, but also the suppliers with NO sales reported so we can make adjustments and ensure that you are getting credit from every NetPlus Supplier.

You can now review your purchases anytime through the NetPlus Partner Portal. Go to the member login at the top right corner of the netplusalliance.com home page and enter your user name (email address) and password. If you forgot your password, type in your email address, click login and then ‘forgot password.’ A new one will be sent to you immediately. Here’s how to check your purchases:

• Log in to the Partner Portal at netplusalliance.com

• Click on the ‘Reports’ tab• Click on ‘Distributor Reports’• Under Custom Links, click on the

‘Verify 2013 Purchases’ reportThis will open a new window that will show all of our suppliers whether or not you buy from them. If a supplier has reported for you, their sales will appear for the month they reported (for some who still report quarterly, the sales will appear in the month of a quarter end: 3, 6, 9, 12). Some of our suppliers may exclude a distributor from their program for a variety of reasons. If a supplier you purchased from is not reporting for you, open the report ‘Supplier Program Exclusions’, which is listed beneath the ‘Verify 2013 Purchases’ report. Supplier Program Exclusions will list any supplier who has excluded you from their program, as well as the reason. Contact us if you disagree with the exclusion.

We want you to earn the maximum rebate you are entitled to through NetPlus. It will be much easier to reconcile with the supplier throughout the year rather than after the year-end when they are closing their books. For now, if you find ANY reporting errors send an email to Shirley at [email protected] with the details. We will take it from there and contact our primary liaison at the supplier to get the discrepancy discovered. You can also contact your supplier sales person or rep to let them know about the discrepancy.

Get into the habit of checking your ‘Verify 2013 Purchases’ report in the NetPlus Portal on a regular basis. Set your calendar for the first of the month as a reminder to log in and check your current purchase report.

One of my goals is to deliver a timelier year-end rebate distribution. One group of members will get their checks before the end of March rather than in June. How do you get into that group? Every member distributor company that attends next year’s Annual Meeting, March 16-18, will receive their rebate check by March 31st. We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!

When we recruit or are contacted by prospective suppliers and ultimately choose to partner with them, it’s

based on the fact that they can truly bring value to many of our distributor members. Their products must complement the current NetPlus offering and our distributors’ needs. I want to highlight the suppliers that have joined NetPlus since the beginning of 2013.

Using Portal Reports In his president’s column, Dan Judge calls on all our distributors to

log into their portal account and use the reports we have provided to verify their year to date purchases. The timing could not be better; three fourths of our suppliers have reported fully for the first half of the year. We add supplier reports to the database as they arrive, so it is a good idea to check back on a weekly basis until you are up to date with all your suppliers.

To save or print one of the reports in the portal, after you have opened and run the report, click on the “Printable View” button. This will enable you to save the report in a format that looks exactly like what you see on the screen. It is actually a special HTML format that preserves the Excel Worksheet format. When you open the file, you will receive a prompt alerting you that the file is in a different format than the extension specifies; click Yes to open the file. From Excel, you can print the file as it is, or make changes such as to the font or background color. If you prefer to keep it as an Excel file, use Excel’s Save As function to change the file type from Web Page to Excel Workbook.

We will continue to add reports and other functionality to the portal to help you to get the most out of your buying group. We welcome any suggestions you may have to further improve the portal.
