Thanks to Jay Skidmore and his large band of volunteers. They have this event down to a science. Thanks also to terrific Boy Scout Troop 45 for their cheerful service again. This event is a testimony to how we Knights all pitch in to serve our community and parish and raise money for charity. Our Color Corps was busy during Lent and Easter being “The Visible Arm of the Knights.” We had the privilege of serving at the Holy Thursday Mass at St. John Bosco and leading the procession to repose the Blessed Sacrament at the altar in the Knights Hall the old Church. We also served as ushers in social regalia at the Easter Vigil Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus. These are always two of the most beautiful and holy ceremonies of the year. I encourage you to let me know if you would like to become a member of our Color Corps. Our West Virginia Brother Knights have invited us to participate in their Exem- plification of the Fourth Degree on June 10 at St. Leo parish in Inwood, WV. I plan to attend with at least one candidate who will join the Fourth Degree that day. Please contact me if you have a candidate in mind or if you would like to attend as an observer. There will also be the Nov. 11 Exemplification in Ports- mouth, VA. Our next meeting will be at 7:30 pm May 9 at Deacon Ed Council Hall in Win- chester. We will elect officers at that meeting for the 2017 2018 fraternal year. I hope to see you there. God bless you and your families and the United States of America. Navigator’s Message

Sir Knights,

We hosted another amazing Spaghetti Dinner last month con-

tinuing a Winchester tradition. Thanks to Jay Skidmore and

his large band of volunteers. They have this event down to a science. Thanks also

to terrific Boy Scout Troop 45 for their cheerful service again. This event is a

testimony to how we Knights all pitch in to serve our community and parish and

raise money for charity.

Our Color Corps was busy during Lent and Easter being “The Visible Arm of the

Knights.” We had the privilege of serving at the Holy Thursday Mass at St. John

Bosco and leading the procession to repose the Blessed Sacrament at the altar in

the Knights Hall – the old Church. We also served as ushers in social regalia at

the Easter Vigil Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus. These are always two of the most

beautiful and holy ceremonies of the year.

I encourage you to let me know if you would like to become a member of our

Color Corps.

Our West Virginia Brother Knights have invited us to participate in their Exem-

plification of the Fourth Degree on June 10 at St. Leo parish in Inwood, WV. I

plan to attend with at least one candidate who will join the Fourth Degree that

day. Please contact me if you have a candidate in mind or if you would like to

attend as an observer. There will also be the Nov. 11 Exemplification in Ports-

mouth, VA.

Our next meeting will be at 7:30 pm May 9 at Deacon Ed Council Hall in Win-

chester. We will elect officers at that meeting for the 2017 – 2018 fraternal year. I

hope to see you there.

God bless you and your families and the United States of America.

ARCHDIOCESE FOR THE MILITARY SERVICES U.S.A.

Currently 285 Catholic military chaplains provide pastoral care to

over 1.5 million Catholics on ships, in combat, on bases and in 153

VA hospitals, but more are needed. The Archdiocese for Military

Services (AMS) Seminarian Program iden<fies voca<ons within the

military and is now educa<ng 30 men for the priesthood and sub-

sequent military chaplaincy. The AMS has no parishes from which

to draw financial support and relies solely on dona<ons. For more
