Magnificat, a Ministry to Catholic
Women, presents a morning of prayer and praise! Join Magnificat on June 16 at 9:15 am at the Millennium Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga. Meet Marangely Gonzalez whose heart is filled with love and zeal. She is a dy-namic witness to the beauty of our Catholic faith and will speak about how to stand up and live your life more fully in the spirit! Eucharistic Adoration & Holy Hour
for Life with Litany in response to
abortion on Thursday, May 31 from 6-7 pm at St. Andrew Church, 1525 Sheri-dan Dr., Kenmore. All invited to come (for any length of time) to adore our Lord, Jesus Christ. After Holy Hour we will also pray the rosary for our nation. Deacon Mike Ficorilli presiding.
Praying with the Trinity, presented by Rev. Barbara Price, on Saturday, June 2 from 10 am12 pm at St. Joseph Center for Spirituality, 4975 Strickler Rd., Cla-rence. Mission 2018. Make your faith come alive by attending the 8-day Mission at Annunciation Church, 7580 Clinton St., Elma. Mission begins July 7 at 5:45 pm, followed by 7 consecutive evenings at 6:30 pm. Journey Into Love. The Office of Fam-
ily Life Ministries needs married cou-ples willing to give of their time for a 20-minute talk to share their experiences with engaged couples at our Journey Into Love monthly diocesan program. “How Do We Deal With…A Loved One Who
Leaves the Church?” Local author and speaker Lorene Hanley Duquin will discuss why people leave the church, why they come back, and what we can do to encourage them to return to the faith. This session will take place on Tuesday, June 5 at 7 pm at St. John Paul II Parish Community Room, 2052 Lakeview Rd., Lake View. This will be a one hour presentation with Q&A to follow. No reservation required. Light refreshments will be available. This is part of the “How Do We Deal With…” speaker series at St.

Homeless Outreach: Our homeless friends are always in need of socks and toiletries. Your support is greatly appreciated!! We continue to feed our friends twice a month with the help of D’Avolio who provide the needed meat
for our home cooked meals. Thanks!
Mats for the Homeless. If you need to recycle your plastic grocery bags, please deposit them in the shopping cart. There is an organization that crochets these bags into mats for the homeless.
MISSION HELP: Enjoy a wine and cheese adult gathering from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday June 15 to celebrate the ongoing Nicaragua Mission Project. The event will take place at the Newman Center, 495 Skinnersville Road, Amherst. Proceeds will be donated to Ann Marie Zon and the Nicaragua Mission for projects including digging wells, purchasing cows and pigs for poor families and sending children to school. The event is free with cash and check donations accepted throughout the night. For more info call Sue at 716-572-9109.
The Ministry in Nicaragua As has been our custom for many years, this provides a wonderful way to support a needy family. For a $100 donation, you can give a cow to a needy family. The cow’s
first calf will be given to another family. The cow will provide milk, cheese, and calves for 7 years. For $50, you can give a pig which provides 6 -12 piglets a year. Also, you can send a child to school ($30 for elementary, $50 for secondary, $100 for college.). Gift cards are provided for your recipient. Call Joe Testa at 688-8357 for info. RUN THE HAWK: Runners are sought for the fourth annual Black and Gold Run the Hawk 5K Run/Walk June 21, sponsored by Cardinal O’Hara High School in the Town of
Tonawanda. The run, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Cardinal O’Hara, is a flat out and back with
timing by WNYFL&TS. Registration fee is $22 through June 20 and $25, day of the event. Prizes and a post-race celebration will be at Cardinal O’Hara. For information call Renee
