This test has 30 questions, some of which are straightforward math problems, some require knowledge of history, some require puzzle-solving skills, and some questions are obscured, hidden within the test itself.The test was originally given at the Mu Alpha Theta National Convention, a week-long math competition amongst high school students. The test is intended to be taken in one hour, with only a pencil and your wits to help you.The only way to get the full experience is to print the test out, double-sided. Read the cover page's information and instructions, and then try your hand--can you solve the Mystery Test?

MYSTERY TEST OPEN - #500
READ THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE MYSTERY TEST: Mr. Snube, the world-famous mathematician/adventurer, has gone missing. I, Mr. Ebsun (you may call me Mr. E), have been tasked with finding him. And I need your help. What follows below is Mr. Snube’s copy (including his notes) of a tattered ancient manuscript from a secret society known as Nu Alpha Theta (ναθ) that is believed to now be defunct. This manuscript served as a sort of entrance exam to ναθ, including coded instructions to a secret location, and a code to gain access to a secret locked door. The code is believed to be the sequence of letter answers to the questions below; the location is encoded somewhere in the test. I believe that solving this test will lead us to Mr. Snube’s location. Please include the letter answers to the 29 questions below, and as the answer to question 30, give the secret location.
Side notes: In the final version of the Mystery Test, the standard Mu Alpha Theta test-taking rules appeared in this space. Instead of re-printing those, we’ll just use take this opportunity to emphasize that the Mystery Test is best experienced when printed double-sided, without scaling down the pages to fit the printable area. The cover page (this page) should have a blank back, with the pages continuing double-sided behind it. About the test: The Mystery Test was an event at the 2012 Mu Alpha Theta National Convention, hosted by Sue Doker and Thom Morris on July 8-12. It was written by James Doker, with editorial help from Sue Doker and Jeffrey Doker. The Doker family also conceived of and wrote the original Mystery Test, for the 2006 Mu Alpha Theta convention; there was another Mystery Test at the 2008 convention by a different author that is considered non-canonical.
