The Mystery of the Castle by Cheyenne Dando
The Mystery of the Castle by Cheyenne Dando
My brother Gerard and I went into an abandoned 200 year old
castle.
“Get out of there as fast as you can!” I yelled to my brother as I watched my steps going into the
mysterious castle.
I heard my brother yell my name, “Bernadette! Come here quick, I found some footprints
on the floor.” So I hurried up to see them. There was something strange about the footprints and I said,
“Come on let’s go.”
All at once, we heard a bang from a door on the second
floor! We looked up the stairs, and saw a face in the
window. My brother screamed with fear. He is as
scared as a little girl.
We started walking up the stairs to the second floor,
trying to find who else was in the castle.
I yelled, “John!” I was hoping that it was my cousin. He is
always trying to scare me and Gerard, but there was no
answer.
It started getting dark outside. I grabbed a big candle and lit it. There
were spider webs everywhere. I urged my
brother to follow me.
We started down a long hallway filled with windows.
Suddenly, I saw a figure on the wall, and it looked like a
person. I screamed, “Who are you?” It was gone! I have never been so scared in my life.
Fredrick's room
So we kept on walking down the hall until we saw a door that had a sign--
“Fredrick's room.” Then, Gerard opened the door and to our surprise, the room looked as though someone
had been living here. In fact, someone----our age!
We went into the room, and the door slammed with a big bang!
I jumped out of my skin in fright.
We turned around and saw a boy that was white
as a ghost. Gerard said, “Hello are
you Fredrick?” “Yes, and I'm a friendly vampire,” said Fredrick
quietly.
“What are your names?” asked Fredrick.
“I'm Gerard and this is my sister Bernadette. We are
humans, and I was thinking why there is a little vampire
boy in a 200 year old castle?”
So Fredrick asked us if we wanted to play and we said yes we would love to
play with him. “Thank you,” Fredrick answered
happily. You guys are awesome. May I come and live with you. Please, I don’t
have anywhere else to go.” We both said “Yes” to Fredrick, and we
lived happily ever after.
