Lesson 1

THE MYSTERY OF DESTINY

“All the days planned for me were written in your book before I was one day

old” (Psalm 139:16).

WHAT IS DESTINY?

Destiny is God’s plan for your life with a response from you. Destiny a set of predetermined events by

God within your life that you take an active course in shaping.

FATE AND DESTINY

*Destiny should not be confused with fate.

*Fate is usually thought of as a predetermined course of events beyond human control.

*A typical response to a belief in fate is resignation—if we can’t change destiny, then why even try?

Whatever happens, happens, and we can’t do anything about it. This is called “fatalism,” and it is not

biblical.

*Fatalism is a major premise of Islam, which demands total submission to the sovereignty of Allah.

Again, fatalism is not a biblical concept.

DESTINY PRINCIPLE:

God designs what we go through we decide how we go through it. God gave us our destiny but we’ve

got to work it out.

WE DO HAVE A CHOICE

*The Bible teaches that Man was created with the ability to make moral choices and that he is

responsible for those choices.

*The Fall of Man was not a predetermined event in which Adam and Eve were hapless victims of a

Puppet-Master God.

*On the contrary, Adam and his wife had the ability to choose obedience (with its attendant blessing)

or disobedience (with its consequent curse). They knew what the result of their decision would be,

and they were held accountable (Genesis 3).

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I

command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep

his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and

multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to

possess it. Deuteronomy 30:15-16

THE RULE OF DESTINY…YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE

*The theme of being held accountable for our choices continues throughout Scripture.

“He who sows wickedness reaps trouble” (Proverbs 22:8a).

“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty” (Proverbs 14:23).

“Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right

and he will commend you” (Romans 13:3).

*Often, when the Bible speaks of destiny, it’s in reference to a destiny people have brought upon

themselves:

“Many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction”

(Philippians 3:18-19).

“This is the fate of those who trust in themselves” (Psalm 49:13).

“A man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself”

(Proverbs 6:32).

“Each person was judged according to what he had done” (Revelation 20:13).

*We sin because we choose to. We can’t blame “Fate,” kismet, predestination, or God.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be

tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when

he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. James 1:13-14

*Interestingly, many people who choose to sin are annoyed by the negative consequences of their sin.

“A man's own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the LORD” (Proverbs

19:3).

*This is a very insightful verse. When a man foolishly wrecks his life, he may yet insist on blaming God,

or perhaps “Fate.” In this way, he persists in his folly.

*Scripture also teaches that we choose to have faith. The oft-repeated command in Scripture to

believe implies that we do have a choice in the matter.

“Be not faithless, but believing” (John 20:27; see also Acts 16:31; 19:4).

FATE AND DESTINY - GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY

*Lest we get the wrong idea, we are not the sovereign masters of our fate. Only God is sovereign. His

sovereign control is called “providence.”

*He has chosen to give us a free will, and He has created a moral universe in which the law of cause-

and-effect is a reality. But God is God alone, and there are no “accidents” in the universe.

*An all-wise, all-powerful God must have a plan, so it should be no surprise that the Bible speaks of a

divine plan.

*God’s plan, since it belongs to God, is holy, wise, and benevolent. The providence of God is working

to bring about His original plan for creation.

I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of

my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass. Isaiah

48:3

*What God announces, He does (and He may announce it centuries ahead of time!).

*Fighting against the plan of God is pointless.

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD. Proverbs 21:30

*Even what we would normally call “chance” or “fate” is under God’s control. In other words, God

does not take a “hands-off” approach to running the world.

“The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD” (Proverbs

16:33).

*Everything that happens in the world is made to work out according to God’s purpose. Evil exists, but

it is not allowed to thwart God’s providence. God uses even sinful men for His purposes.

“The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse

wherever he pleases” (Proverbs 21:1).

*God worked in the hearts of the Egyptians (Exodus 12:36) and King Artaxerxes (Ezra 7:27) to bring

about His purpose. Even when Man’s intent is purely evil, God can still bring about His will, as in the

case of those who crucified Jesus (Acts 2:23; 4:27-28).

*God’s plan includes a reward for those who trust in Him, and He promises to glorify His children.

“We speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God

destined for our glory before time began. . . . As it is written: ‘No eye has seen, no

ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love

him’” (1 Corinthians 2:7-9).

*Note the use of the word destined in this passage—and that it’s a destiny based on our love

for the Lord.

LESSON 2

DESTINY - AN INDIVIDUAL PLAN

“Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in

your book before one of them came to be” Psalm 139:16.

YOU ARE NOT AN ACCIDENT

*God’s sovereignty reaches even to a plan for our individual lives. This is illustrated in God’s calling of

Jeremiah—before the prophet was even born.

“The word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew

you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the

nations’” (Jeremiah 1:4-5).

*David also recognized that the Lord had a plan for him.

“Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in

your book before one of them came to be” (Psalm 139:16).

*Because of this knowledge, David sought the Lord’s specific guidance in many situations, such as in 1

Samuel 23:9-12.

YOUR DESTINY AND TIME

You were born at the very moment in time when your gifts and attributes would be needed most

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human

heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

And the time is as well set and fixed for your departure. When you purpose is over.

Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast

appointed his bounds that he cannot pass; Job 14:5

Time is everything that exists in the past and future. And the slim moment called the present. We add

or subtract from time but we can seek divine wisdom to understand the times and seasons and what

needs to be done.

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the

times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and

all their brethren were at their commandment. 1 Chronicles 12:32

DESTINY AND YOUR LOCATION

You were born in the exact geographical place where you would have the greatest impact on those

around you.

From one man, he made all the people of the world. Now they live all over the earth.

He decided exactly when they should live. And he decided exactly where they

should live. Acts 17:26

Your destiny is tied to your location and where God will take you to. He knows your sphere of influence

so instead of seeking to disappear from where to are, seek to understand the purpose for which you

are where you are.

DESTINY AND PEOPLE

Your destiny is intertwined with the destinies of many others. God will bring in your path many people

who will be used one way or the other to bring you to positive fulfilment or otherwise of your destiny.

In your life, you will encounter these four classes of people:

SON OF WASTE (DRAINER)

You will encounter people who will practically drain and waste your life. They are the people

who will introduce you to the vanities of life. Of whom Paul warned…

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 1 Corinthians 15:33

They resurface again in your days of productivity and become a people who are always learning

but never arriving to a place of change and transformation-Avoid such people.

A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must

do it again. Proverbs 19:19

UNRESPONSIVE (INDIFFERENT)

These are people you will encounter who are completely self-centered and are totally

indifferent to your destiny and goals. They have no opinion in your evil ways. They silently

support you in every way.

Then in your productive years, they resurface as a people who are disinterested, distracted and

bored with scriptural teachings and serious proclamations-Avoid such people.

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is

not in all his thoughts. Psalms

EQUIVALENCE (EQUALS)

One that sharpens and inspire you and you in turn sharpen and inspire them-Seek such

companions.

Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Proverbs

27:17

PARADIGMS (EAXAMPLES)

One whose ways and character you want to emulate.

And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much

affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: 1 Thessalonians 1:6

Paradigms are destiny activators and liberators

When Jacob was come into Egypt, and your fathers cried unto the LORD, then the

LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and

made them dwell in this place. 1 Samuel 12:8

They are destiny transformers and shapers.

DESTINY CALL

Destiny is full of coincidences. Coincidences tell us we are on the right track. God calls people into

their destiny in many ways.

Sometimes in very supernatural ways

God gives you direction along the way—like a road sign

You must have faith

SOMETIMES YOU MAY GET A PROPHETIC WORD

A prophetic word is the heart of God revealed to a person for the benefit t of someone else It

can provide you direction, encouragement or warning.

Sometimes directions can be confusing. Then we can be tempted to turn back, or think the

directions were wrong Staying on the plan God has given you is not always a precise walk.

DESTINY COST- THE CLARITY COST PRINCIPLE

The Clarity Cost Principle—the clearer the direction from God, the greater the cost.

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with

few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and

to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Luke 12:48

The clearer the direction from God, the less room you have to deviate from His directions

The cost may mean that what you used to get away with, you no longer can, or that what you

used to be able to do, you no longer can.

What have you given up for the plans and purpose of God for your life? Have you given up your

evil pursuit, like Paul did on the Damascus road?

Have you given up running away from your calling like Moses?

Some of us need the blinding light of the Damascus Road to propel us to our destiny like Saul

did.

Some of us only need a little tap on the back; others need a bright and shining light.

God knows exactly what it will take to get our attention.

The mystery of destiny is that even before He created you, God had a plan that would use your

gifts and abilities to the utmost.

LESSON 3

DESTINY INFECTIONS

INTRODUCTION

God have plans for your destiny:

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace,

and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

You have a response to make or unmake God’s plan for your destiny a reality:

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken

unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all

your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13

God will not simply bring the people out of captivity even if it is time to do so. He will do it after they

have prayed and sought Him with all their hearts.

CHOICES DETERMINE DESTINY

In Acts 9, Jesus appears to Saul of Tarsus with an interesting statement:

“It is hard for you to kick against the goads” (verse 5).

Jesus obviously had a plan for Saul, and Saul had been (painfully) resisting it. Exercising our freedom

against God’s plan can be painful.

Later, Jesus tells Saul that a man named Ananias would come to visit —and then Jesus tells Ananias

(verses 11-12)!

Obviously, Jesus had a pre-arranged plan for Ananias as well. Now, Ananias didn’t want to visit Saul

(verse 13-14).

He could have been like Jonah and run the other way. If that had been his choice, God would have had

a “fish” prepared to bring him back. Fortunately, Ananias obeyed (verse 17).

Exercising our freedom to follow God’s plan brings a blessing.

DESTINY INFECTIONS

Just as the human system can be invaded by microorganisms’ inferior to it and weaken it with so can

a man’s destiny be infected by traits and choices which will in time distort, prolong and destroy it.

THE GREAT DOOR TO ALL INFECTIONS-DISOBEDIENCE

God created man and placed his commandment in his heart. But Adam broke the covenant:

For I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice, And in the knowledge of God rather than

burnt offerings. But like Adam they have transgressed the covenant; There they

have dealt treacherously against Me. Hosea 6:6-7

When Adam DISOBEYED God, He opened the lives of mankind to all kinds destiny infections. The

ultimate being TOIL and DEATH.

THE PATH TO DISOBEDIENCE

In Genesis 3, we are introduced to a subtil enemy of mankind. He appeared on the scene when the

woman was alone. The path to committing serious blunders in life starts with IDLE UNACCOUNTED

FOR TIME.

And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to

battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they

destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at

Jerusalem. … 2 Samuel 11:1-2

GIVE EAR AND TIME TO WRONG INFLUENCE

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 1 Corinthians 15:33

Who you give ear to has the power to determine your destiny…

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing... Romans 10:17

Absalom was a young promising man until he heeded to the advice of Ahithophel.

And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and

they went in their simplicity, and they knew not anything. And Absalom sent for

Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he

offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased

continually with Absalom. 2 Samuel 15:11-12

Ahithophel was a deadly political advisor. He was an evil strategist and he led the young Absalom into

destruction through abomination…

And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he

hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy

father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong. So they spread

Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's

concubines in the sight of all Israel. And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he

counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was

all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom. 2 Samuel 16:21-23

Absalom also yielded to the advice of Hushai, another counselor. (2Samuel 17)

Who have you been listening to?

TAKE A DEEP LOOK AND THE WRONG THINGS AND BE ENTICED

Eve directed her sight and was enticed.

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant

to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof,

and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Genesis 3:6

David looked at Bethsheba and was enticed.

And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked

upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing

herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. 2 Samuel 11:2

Guard your eyes…

“I made an agreement with my eyes. I promised not to look at a young woman

with impure thoughts. Job 31:1

GIVING IN TO DESIRES

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be

tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when

he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it

bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. James 1:13-15

THE CASE OF ADAM-HE PLACED LESS VALUE ON DIVINE PRINCIPLE

Adam could have salvaged the ruins but he chose to devalue God’s command. God want His

commands to be kept in our hearts because we only keep precious things in our hearts. He wants us

to place maximum priority on His commands.

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

Deuteronomy 6:6

You distort and prolong your destiny when you devalue divine established order. Esau devalued his

birthright thereby plunging his destiny into RESTLESSNESS BEFORE RESCUE.

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright

do to me? And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he

sold his birthright unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles;

and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his

birthright. Genesis 25:32-34

Prior to losing the blessing. He had displeased his parents by marrying from an abominable tribe. In

effect, he began to prepare the way for destiny swap:

And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the

Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite: Genesis 26:34

Esau’s freedom was sealed in clearing his heart of bitterness and anger…

But you shall live by your sword, And serve your brother; However it shall come to

pass when you break loose [from your anger and hatred], That you will tear his yoke

off your neck [and you will be free of him].” Genesis 27:40

#1 INFECTION: AFTER DISBEDIENCE AND DEVALUATION OF GOD’S COMMAND-ANGER

Adam expressed ANGER after the fall. He blamed God and took his anger on the woman.

Cain broke divine order. He took his anger on his brother and killed him.

Esau devalued divine order and wanted to kill his brother.

Most humans are infected with the deadly virus of bitterness and anger. What is sad is, they are

blaming God and hating others instead of taking time to find out in their own lives the kind of

choice they made against the status of God that has brought them their present.

Sin makes us rebels to God in heaven and monsters to fellow humans on earth.

#2 INFECTION: GIFTS BLINDS YOUR EYES AND LEADS INTO DARKNESS

Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift:

for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

Deuteronomy 16:19

Gifts opens SOFT SPOTS. And soft spots leads to undue affection which yields perversion.

Destiny can be misdirected with gifts.

*Grants misdirect the focus of nations. The problem of the third world.

*Gifts makes you a debtor to the giver. Undue influence will then be exerted on you.

*Gifts are traps. Be circumspect in who you receive gifts from.

Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain. Proverbs

25:14

#3 INFECTION: ILLICIT SEX ENSLAVES THE SOUL

What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith

he, shall be one flesh. 1 Corinthians 6:16

Any sex outside the confines of marriage is illicit. Any sexual act that defies the divine order of male

and female is an ABOMINATION.

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus

18:22

Fornication is deadly and we are admonished to FLEE from committing it. Note, you only flee from

danger. That is how dangerous fornication is.

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that

committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18

Adultery is destiny destroying trait. It must be plucked out of life.

But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that

doeth it destroyeth his own soul. Proverbs 6:32

God’s judgement comes upon adulterers.

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and

adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13:4

Hell, is the destination of fornicators and adulterers.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not

deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor

abusers of themselves with mankind, 1 Corinthians 6:9

***Illicit sex opens demonic roots for corruption of the seed of mankind. Genesis 3:15/Genesis 6

#4 INFECTION: ABORTION IS MURDER

Abortion is the termination of a baby in the womb. In Jeremiah, God made us aware that He knew us

from the womb. Life does not simply start at birth, it starts at conception.

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of

the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Jeremiah 1:5

Abortion does not just curtail the supply of Godly heritage. Children are God’s special possession.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Psalms 127:3

Abortion like all forms of bloodshed pollutes the land.

So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and

the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of

him that shed it. Numbers 35:33

The numerous problems of mankind stems from this deadly act.

The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the

haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the

inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the

ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the

earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the

earth are burned, and few men left. Isaiah 24:4-6

Deadly choices yields deadly results.

Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good

things from you. Jeremiah 5:25

The shedding of innocent blood has now led to the inhabitants running out of their own lands…

And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the

land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. Leviticus 18:25

Don’t fool yourself into thinking you will go unpunished for instigating or committing abortion…

There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he

power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall

wickedness deliver those that are given to it… Because sentence against an evil

work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in

them to do evil. Ecclesiastes 8:8,11

ABORTION IS THE SACRIFCE OF UNBORN BABIES TO SATAN

Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, And shed innocent

blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed

unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. Psalms 106:37-38

***Sacrifices made to molech***

PRAYERS ARE HINDERED WHEN ABORTION HAS TAKEN PLACE

And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye

make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Isaiah 1:15

THE STAIN OF BLOOD PROVOKES THE ANGER OF GOD AGAINST YOUR DESTINY

Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not

found it by secret search, but upon all these. Yet thou sayest, Because I am

innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because

thou sayest, I have not sinned. Jeremiah 2:34-35

YOUR DESTINY IS RELEASED TO THE AVENGER OF BLOOD

That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee

for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee. But if any man hate his neighbour,

and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die,

and fleeth into one of these cities: Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch

him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood

from Israel, that it may go well with thee. Deuteronomy 19:10-13

NOTE THIS

Anyone tormented by the guilt of murder will seek refuge in the grave; let no

one hold them back.. Proverbs 28:17

You are spiritually robbed of support due to the shedding of innocent blood.

MEDICAL PRACTICTIONERS WHO TAKES MONEY TO COMMIT ABORTION ARE NOT SPARED EITHER.

In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and

thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me,

saith the Lord GOD. Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest

gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal

with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it. Ezekiel 22:12-14

The accumulated wealth will be vain…

THE WOMB THAT ABORTED BECOME A GRAVEYARD TO LIFE.

When there is a death in the womb, the womb is immediately transferred, into a place of death, a

sepulcher; from a place where God’s angel have free access to the mind of the unborn child, to a place

where they have great difficulty threading.

Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth

miscarrying womb and dry breasts. Hosea 9:13-14

LIBERATION FROM INFECTION

Obey and serve God.

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years

in pleasures. Job 36:11

PRAYER

LORD let my destiny encounter forgives through Jesus Christ.

LORD activate the sense of my destiny to respond to your leading.

LORD separate my destiny from any demonic entanglement in the name of Jesus.

LORD separate my destiny from ancestral entanglements

LORD separate my destiny from my evil choices.

LORD let my destiny be purged from all self-imposed infections.

LORD let my destiny be separated from all satanic infections.

LORD liberate my destiny from destiny destroying gifts.

LORD let every demonic seed deposited into my destiny through gifts be uprooted.

LORD cause my destiny to be totally liberated.

LORD liberate my destiny for good.

LESSON 4

THE JOURNEY TO FULFILLING DESTINY-DIVINE DIVISION

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather

division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against

two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son

against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the

mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law

against her mother in law. (Luke 12:51-53)

INTODUCTION

The path to fulfilling destiny runs on divine principles. These principles are to be discovered,

understood and applied by the child of God seeking to fulfill destiny positively.

These principles are not hidden from you; they are rather hidden for you as the scripture clearly puts

it that it is for kings to search out mysteries.

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a

matter. Proverbs 25:2

Running through the entire scripture is the principle of DIVINE DIVISION.

WHAT IS DIVINE DVISION?

"Divine" means that something is of God or emanates from Him. "Division" is the act of dividing,

separating into two parts, or forming a boundary between. Divine Division therefore is the separation

caused by God to accomplish His purpose through individual lives.

THE FIRST DIVISION IN HEAVEN-THE FALL OF SATAN

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut

down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine

heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will

sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend

above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be

brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. Isaiah 14:12-15

Self-propagation, self-exaltation and self-seeking led Lucifer to his demotion from heaven. He was

separated from God and His abode.

LONELY PATH-SEPARATED IN THE WOMB

You and I came through people to fulfill God’s plans. We laid in our mother’s wombs but we were

divinely separated even in the womb unto the one who knit us together and placed us there. The

Apostle Paul gave us a clear understanding of this. Paul was chosen, set apart, and given a spiritual

vision. Paul declared that he was separated from his mother's womb for divine purpose.

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called

me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen;

immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Galatians 1:15-16

Even though Paul had this glorious destiny right from the womb. His early choices of persecuting the

Church distorted and prolonged his destiny. Until you understand what you are separated to in life,

you wander through life in confusion.

SEPARATION AT BIRTH-PHYSICAL

You and I are not made to stuck to our parents forever. In the physical realms, a baby and its mother

are separated by the severing of the umbilical cord right at birth. From the physical point of view, we

are not made to be attached to anything in this world permanently even the things which nourished

and catered for us in the womb must be discarded before we can experience life.

WARFARE-SEVER THE UMBILICAL CORD AND LIVE

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, cause Jerusalem to

know her abominations, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth

and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother

an Hittite. And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut,

neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor

swaddled at all. None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have

compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of

thy person, in the day that thou wast born. And when I passed by thee, and saw

thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live;

yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live. Ezekiel 16:1-6

SEPARATION FROM SELF

When God give you over to Satan, it is for correction but when He gives you up to yourself, it is for

destruction!

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over

to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with

all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of

envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God,

despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without

understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy

of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:28-

32
