Maroof Raza specialises on War and Security issues and is currently Consulting Editor (strategic affairs) of TIMES TV Network, where he anchors a weekend show 'Latitide'. In the past he has also appeared on many of India’s leading TV channels. He lectures regularly across India in training establishments and to the corporate sector. He has also lectured in many countries abroad.Educated in India (at Mayo College, Ajmer and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi), and subsequently in England (at King’s College, London and at Cambridge University); Maroof has served in the Indian Army’s Grenadiers, and Mechanized Infantry Regiments, and as an instructor at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He has been a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research, Delhi, the Henry L. Stimson Centre, Washington and the War Studies Department of King’s College, London.The books authored/edited by him include: Low-Intensity Conicts (1995) Wars and No Peace over Kashmir (1996); Generals and Governments in India and Pakistan ( 2001) and essays on Confronting Terrorism (2009).
