By Olivia Johnson Nunez

Mrs. Kissell and Mrs. Dearman’s Class

2012-2013

“Sit down, honey, we have something to tell you.” I looked

around the cream and snowy white room and back to my pretty

mom.

“Please don’t freak out.” We’re moving to Florida.”

After a few days passed I had to tell Ashley, my best friend,

that I was moving. At school when we were changing books out

of our locker, I decided to tell her.

“Ashley, you know I’m moving right?”

“No you’re not, you love it here everyone does”

I put my hand on Ashley’s shoulder.

“I really am moving.”

The bell rang “Ding, ding”. We scurried to class. After

class Sarah went home trying to think of a way to make Ashley

believe that she was actually moving. A few days later Sarah

went to Ashley’s house to study for the big test.

Sarah arrived at Ashley’s house she had a big pile of books she

went right to the office and got started after 45 minutes they

went to get a snack Ashley told Sarah to close her eyes she did

Ashley walked her across 4 bathrooms 3 closets 3 bedroom’s

and the dining room after all that walking she came into a big

party room Ashley removed her hands from Sarah’s face Sarah

saw a big room with 2 tables a huge cake and a pile of presents

Sarah asked what it was for and they said for you your moving

after the party Sarah had to go pack for the move.

After all the packing we loaded up the car later when we

got on the plane I couldn’t stop thinking about not seeing

Ashley and all my friends. When we landed in Florida I knew I

was not going to like my new house and school a few weeks

later I was not satisfied with my life, I tried to start a

conversation with kids at school but no one replied and even

worse I had no one to sit next to at lunch.

Finally after what felt like a year someone decided to play

with Sarah her name was Paige “Hi” said Paige “hi” she said and

that’s how our whole friend ship started every day after school

I saw Paige we had play dates, sleepovers, study dates, and

sometimes see each other out of the blue. We spent every day

together.

One day Paige and Sarah were playing outside and the

phone rang “Hello” said Sarah

“Hi” said the voice “Can I talk to Miss. Johnson please.”

“Yes you may one minuet please.”

“Mom someone wants to talk to you.”

“Okay coming.”

When my mom came down she answered the phone. I

walked back outside and played with Paige in till my mom came

outside and told me we were moving back to North Carolina I

was so happy.

Later when we were done packing and on the plane I

thought about Paige I was so happy to see Ashley but I would

miss Paige when we got there I was so happy but still missed

Paige but I got a solution for that from that point on I saw Paige

every summer and loved my life.
