Doing the Baby Math

Last week when we were setting out thestockings as a part of our Christmasdecorations, it dawned on me that we’re going

to need a new way to hang them up on our bookshelf. For as long as I remember, we’veused a set of weights shaped like letters tohang up our four stockings. The letters spell“Noel,” so there are just enough for our familyof four. But, sometime between January andthe middle of February we are going to become

a family of five, so “Noel” won’t work for us.

Christmas 2012

This was a big year for us. As I remarked toTheresa just this morning, this was the firstHoliday Season we have celebrated while she

was pregnant. One year from now, we will becelebrating Christmas with a little tyke still notold enough to understand what Christmas is allabout or who Santa Claus is. I’m sure that hisolder brother and sister will be eager to teachhim.

2012 Holidays

Here are photos from our visits to family for theholidays. We spent the weekend beforeChristmas in Marlette visiting with my in-law’s,

and then made the trip down to see my parentson Friday. Kayla and Theresa were going to goskating Saturday night, so we left in themorning. Normally, we might stay at myparents’ house until New Year’s Day, but thisyear we’re celebrating the new year at home.
