Jackson/Metro Jackson Redevelopment Authority is still trying to secure funding for a 300 room hotel across from the Jackson Convention Center.Jackson/Metro Westin Hotel planned for downtown; Hinds County is pledging $20 million for its part in constructing a 204 room facility.Madison/Canton CHS Merit Health Madison Campus is designed by Goodwin Mills Cawood of Birmingham. Announcement for bids coming soon.Pearl, MS Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport is seeking architects/engineers for assessment & renovations of 5th floor & main terminal.Clarksdale, MS Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame to house a 300 seat theater, restaurant, juke joint and museum. Kulapat Yantrasast of Los Angeles is architect.Jackson, MS Capitol Arts Loft Apartments by HRI Properties has secured funding to renovate 8 historical buildings. Construction to begin this Fall.Clinton, MS Blackwater Resources of Birminham is petitioning Clinton for re-zoning of 38 acres near MC to plan for retail development. Architect review and zoning were approved at May 26 hearing. Mayor and board met June 2nd for final approval. Vote was unanimous. Marks, MS Amtrak service will require construction of a new depot/facility. City Clerk Pamela McNutt confirmed project should bid in Sept/Oct. University, MS Ole Miss is seeking design pros for Kincannon Hall Renovations. Professionals to respond by June 10th bid date.Jackson, MS UMMC and Duvall Decker Architecture are planning for a Telehealth Center on site of old McRae’s at North State St. and Meadowbrook. Jackson, MS FAA has approved $11.7 million in funding for Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport to rehab taxiway and runway. Meridian, MS Crossroads Shopping Center expansion is estimated at $22 million with construction starting this Fall. Developer is RCG Ventures.Philadelphia, MS Neshoba County residents will vote August 11 on a $ 14 million school bond issue which includes a new high school and renovations to others.

6ARCHITECT RELEASE OF PROJECT PLANS TO ABC PRIME CONTRACTOR MEMBERS

A. Thearchitect/engineerwillrecordissueofset(s)ofprojectplansandspecifications,withoutrequirement ofplandeposit,toABCMembersbyname.

B. Thisprocedureshallapplytothebiddingphaseofaprojectonlyandhasnoapplicationtoissuanceof planstothesuccessfulbidder. C. ItshallbetheresponsibilityoftheABCmembertoidentifyhimselftothearchitect/engineeratthetime plansareissuedtobeentitledtotermsofthisagreement.

D. The architect/engineer will call upon the ABC to honor plan deposit guarantee should one of its contractormembers:

1 Notreturnplansandspecificationstoarchitect/engineerwithinten(10)daysafterbidsare receivedwithoutprioragreementofarchitect/engineer.

2. Returnplansandspecificationsnotinreusablecondition,i.e.,defaced,mutilated,sheetsmissing, etc.Discretionwillbeusedtodeterminewhetherentireplansorcertainsheetsthereofneedtobe replaced.

3. Notsubmitabidafterreceivingplansundertheprovisionsofthisprogram,unlessthecontractor shouldreturnsaidplanstothearchitectatleast(3)dayspriortothebidopeningdate.
