Mission StatementH H H H
The mission of
Chandler Creek Elementary
is to
develop the enthusiasm
for
lifelong learning
through inquiry in a
global, caring environment developing responsible
citizens who exhibit
core values.
Chandler Creek Elementary School is a community school committed to excellence.
Our students have embraced the statement, “I come to school to learn!” In our hallways, in our classrooms,
and on our playground, you can observe students involved in questioning and learning more about their world. We are proud to be an International Baccalaureate School and we promote inquiry, problem solving, and project based learning.
Our year has been fruitful as we have added a new mentor and tutoring program. We have trained in
Balanced Literacy to support a more developmentally appropriate reading program. We have immersed
ourselves in the South Carolina Common Core Standards. We have strengthened our collaboration
both within the school and in the community. Thank you to all for making Chandler Creek a
warm and inquisitive school setting where students are first and quality education is a priority.
We look forward to our future in educating the students of Greer, South Carolina.
With warmest regards,
Jane R MillsPrincipal

H History of School HChandler Creek is a K4 through fifth grade, public el-ementary school located in the former Greer Middle School facility. In 1999-2000, the former Greer Middle School was renovated and expanded for its future use as an elementary school. The renovated school contains 122,703 square feet and is designed for a capacity of 1,000 students.
The student bodies of East Greer Elementary and Tryon Street Elementary joined together and named the new school Chandler Creek Elementary.
