The MINI Cooper Clubman is powered by a 1.5-l MINI TwinPower Turbo 3-cylinder petrol engine delivering 136 hp∕100 kW and 220 Nm (with overboost), so it has plenty of get-up-and-go. Let’s not forget the Cooper hallmarks: a safety bar in high-gloss black and a Chrome tailpipe.

If you prefer high-torque, efficient diesel engines, you can’t look past the MINI Cooper D Clubman. It generates an incredibly satisfying 350 Nm and an output of 150 hp∕110 kW – served up by a 2.0-l MINI TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder diesel engine.

To really take things up a gear, climb aboard the MINI Cooper S Clubman. Under the bonnet it boasts a 2.0-l MINI TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine that generates 192 hp∕141 kW. The front and rear aprons, bonnet air scoop and dual tailpipes hint at the power waiting to be unleashed on the road. Meanwhile, the red S on the radiator grille, split door and side scuttles underline the car’s sporting heritage.

VED RATESAnnual VED (second year onwards) is £450 for cars costing over £40,000 and is payable for five years. VED rates for brand new cars are determined by their CO2 emissions figure.
