This is the first luxury lifestyle magazine in the UK to be fully translated and printed in Arabic four times a year. The magazine is distributed exclusively to the high-net-worth Arabic-speaking audience in Mayfair, Belgravia, St. James, Knightsbridge and the surrounding affluent areas.

London has long benefitted from its popularity with the Middle Eastern audience and today, an ever-increasing market combined with record oil prices are responsible for a new boom in spending. Middle Eastern visitors and residents in these areas are among the world’s most affluent consumers, accounting for more than ten per cent of all Prime Central London property purchases. They are considered the largest spending group by value in the luxury goods market.

Advertising clients in the English version of The Mayfair Magazine can opt to have their advertisement re-printed in the Arabic version at a reduced rate, providing a powerful additional marketing boost.

The Mayfair Magazine’s Mandarin edition, which will be released in two volumes, one before Chinese New Year and again before Golden Week, is the first of its kind as a luxury lifestyle magazine in the UK, which is fully translated and printed in Mandarin and distributed exclusively to the high-net-worth Mandarin speaking audience in Mayfair, Belgravia, St James’s, Knightsbridge and the surrounding areas.

Over the past five years, London has seen an influx of high-net-worth shoppers from China, which is continuing to grow, as new reforms by the Chinese government are allowing for increased private wealth and spending power and record numbers of Visa applications (both tourist and residential) are also rising.

The number of Chinese billionaires and high net-worth individuals is also increasing, which is forecast to overtake the number in Russia, France and Switzerland. They are drawn to prime central London in particular, for the high calibre British brands, that represent a quintessential ‘Britishness’, and also represented almost a quarter of tax free spend in the UK in 2013.

Advertising clients in the English version of The Mayfair Magazine can opt to have their advertisement reprinted in the Mandarin version at a reduced rate.

Since its launch in February 2012, Kensington & Chelsea Magazine has firmly established itself not only as the highest quality local luxury title in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea but also in Prime Central London; readers and clients have praised the title’s consistently relevant content, modern design, and carefully curated features and interviews.

However, in order to cater more specifically for residents of and visitors to Notting Hill and Holland Park, highly desirable London areas in which to live, work and spend time, Notting Hill & Holland Park Magazine is a new addition to the Runwild Media Group portfolio.

This title has a brand new, extensive section of locally-relevant content, from art and fashion to interior design, dining and education, as well as relevant interviews and fashion, travel, motoring and fine jewellery sections from its sister title Kensington & Chelsea Magazine. The title’s overarching themes will remain, as with Kensington & Chelsea Magazine, luxury, culture and style, as befits the affluent, discerning Notting Hill and Holland Park residents.

ARE STILL CRAFTING CONTRAPTIONS OF BEDAZZLING COMPLEXITY, SAYS ALEX DOAK

“An expensive watch is a piece of art, part of eternity,” professed LVMH’s watch boss and erstwhile industry spokesman Jean-Claude Biver on CNN in February. “Because,” he explained, “a watch that is made by hand can be repaired in a thousand years. A technological watch will be obsolete in probably five.” That said, Apple and its new “Watch” is poised to seize a huge chunk of luxury watchmaking’s lower-end market – and potentially some of the high end, assuming there are enough people out there happy to spend up to £13,500 on a gold “Edition”.

And Switzerland knows it can’t be caught napping, like it was in the Seventies when cheap quartz technology from the Far East laid waste to the traditional craft. “The smartwatch revolution is a train that’s better to get on,” Biver admits, “so we know better where we’re going, rather than staying at the railway station.” Sure enough, his sports brand TAG Heuer announced a partnership with Android and Intel at March’s Baselworld trade fair. Frédérique Constant and Mondaine also unveiled “Horological Smartwatches” of their own, developed

CUSTOMER TARGETING VIA:

• Estimated property value

• Radius or catchment area to a given location

• Property council tax band

ADDINTEL

WHAT IS ADDINTEL?

AddIntel is a comprehensive library of every residential address in England and Wales.

As we have developed our own foundation for the baseline addresses, the accuracy rate is near perfect. Rather than relying on existing data lists, the system uses a sequence of algorithms to search the internet and find every address linked to a chosen postcode.

This information is overlaid and de-duplicated to produce the Unified Address List™ of every address belonging to that postcode.

Each individual address within the UAL is then interrogated against a range of customisable criteria - current property value, date of last sale, property type, date of build, last sale value, council tax band etc.

Unlike list-based systems, the AddIntel database has been custom built and is constantly, organically updating.

As a result the data is always current and in alignment with changing house prices, property sales, new developments and additional variable factors that static data lists can only incorporate long after the fact.

CASE STUDY: LIMEHOUSE MARINA ELITE

THE BRIEF

Limehouse Marina Elite - a new luxury fitness health club - opened in November 2014. By late December, the client had seen almost zero membership growth as a result of their own marketing activity which included flyering locally via RoyalMail, advertising locally in non-Runwild publications and digital advertising.

THE SOLUTION

Working with RWMG Bespoke, the client’s creative underwent a total rebranding. Their marketing message was clarified and a new cohesive brand identity was developed to work across multiple mediums.

RWMG Intelligence analysed the target customer profile for the gym and mapped key catchment areas within Canary Wharf, the City of London and within a radius from the gym itself. Limehouse and Wapping were identified as priority areas for reaching residents within close proximity to the gym’s marina location.

Out of 185,778 addresses within the client’s catchment area AddIntel analysis was used to identify 42,696 properties that matched their customer criteria.

In conjunction with a 12 month brand advertising campaign in Canary Wharf magazine and The City magazine, A5 and DL flyers were designed and distributed to residential addresses within the 42,696 key target properties. Phased delivery on a fortnightly basis enabled accurate tracking of response by area.

An exclusive 1-week trial offer was promoted on the flyers and magazine ad campaign to aid response tracking.
