Mitie Network Rail Stations News The mighty transport union for ALL Mitie cleaners! NEWS: RMT RECOGNITION WON! When we first started the campaign for RMT recognition, we only had automatic recognition at Glasgow Central. This was followed by winning recognition at Edinburgh Waverley and Liverpool Lime Street. Now the figures have confirmed the RMT has passed the threshold to win recognition at Leeds City Station! These are the locations that we can formally negotiate for, but our public campaign is for the Real #LivingWageNOW to apply to ALL RMT members across the contract. Make sure your location isn’t left behind and get your workmates on board with RMT now. We still need more of your colleagues to join us at all locations because we have strength in numbers, but it is particularly important we pass the thresholds at Manchester Piccadilly and Birmingham New Street and gain full recognition for these stations. Play your part and persuade a colleague to sign up to RMT today! NEWS: PAY TALKS PLANNED! RMT will be meeting with Mitie to discuss pay - and winning and implementing at least the #RealLivingWageNow for all workers on the contract. The meeting is in Edinburgh on Wednesday 16th October 2019 and we will keep you advised of all developments! NEWS: MORE PEOPLE SIGN UP TO THE CAMPAIGN! Working with 38 Degrees, RMT launched an online petition calling on Mitie and Network Rail to pay AT LEAST the real #LivingWageNOW to cleaners on the Managed Stations contract. At the last count, over 82,000 people had signed the petition calling for this positive change. The on-line petition attracts more signatures daily! Our next leafleting sessions will encourage more passengers to sign up and directly email Network Rail and Mitie bosses over the issue. Save the dates: more campaign sessions planned! As part of the RMT campaign to secure AT LEAST the #RealLivingWageNOW for workers on the Mitie Network Rail Managed Stations contract, we are now planning more leafleting events at stations.
