The microphone was invented in 1831 by David Hughes. It was invented because people need to hear you from far away. There are many different types of microphones. The microphone helps people hear someone from far away. The microphone also makes someone’s voice sound much louder. The microphone was made in Kentucky.

In 1831 David Edward Hughes was born in London. When David was 7 years old, he moved to America. David lived in Kentucky. David attended college at Bardstown, KY. Hughes moved back to London and died on January 2, 1900. Hughes wanted to work with engineering. David Hughes attended St. Joseph’s College. Hughes lived in London for 6 years as a child.
