Charity - Our Catholic faith teaches us to “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”

Members of the Knights of Columbus show love for their neighbors by conducting food drives and donating the food to local soup kitchens and food pantries, by volunteering at Special Olympics, and by supporting, both spiritually and materially, mothers who choose life for their babies. Knights recog-nize that our mission, and our faith in God, compels us to action.

There is no better way to experience love and compassion than by help-ing those in need, a call we answer every day.

Eight of those con-tacted have paid and an additional six said they wanted to con-tinue and were invoiced. Four delinquent members said they wanted to withdraw and were asked to send withdrawal letters. Minutes (continued from page 9) and Bob Patterson made the presentation.

Doug Cook became a 4th Degree member at the Nov. 15 Exemplification in Limon.

Field Agent Report: Jeff Smith was not present. Report of the District Deputy: DD Frank McGinley reported on the following items:

The Annual Fraternal Survey is due in January. We need to start planning for it.

State Mid-Year Meeting 12/11-13 at Denver Crown Plaza. 1st Degree on 12/11, Kids Christmas party 12/12.

Pennies From Heaven: we have a jar to collect $1 dona-tions for members not having their rosaries at the meetings.

The Council should look into the Hour of Prayer program. Unfinished Business: None New Business:

Jack Sullivan proposed starting a Corporate Communion Sunday breakfast for all members and their families. Broth-er Ray is willing to prepare breakfast casseroles and we could also have fruit, coffee cake and a kids menu. This could be funded from donations. This would be a good opportunity to meet other KC families, especially for new members and their families. The discussion focused on the need for advanced approval from the church for the facili-ties and planning with the Corporate Communion mass schedule. It is probably only feasible for the 7:15a and

9:15a Sunday masses. The proposal was approved by a vote of 38-2.

DGK Simpson asked if we need to have a meeting in De-cember in view of the Mid-Year and other KC activities. The consensus was that we do need a meeting for planning the Italian Dinner, Parish Breakfast and other activities coming up in January and February. The meeting is moved up on the schedule to December 16 to avoid conflicts with Christmas week.

Good of the Order: The Recorder read the names on the Sick and Distressed list and we prayed for their improved health. The names will be published in the newsletter. The Worthy Lecturer has prepared meatball sandwiches and other goodies for enjoy-ment after the meeting. Closing: After the readings and prayers, the meeting was ad-journed at 8:30p Respectfully submitted by Tony Schaffhauser for Recorder Doug Cook.
