WMU MISSION OF THE MONTHDecember’s Mission of the Month is Lottie MoonIn the 1800s, a missionary named Lottie Moon wrote letters from China urging American churches to fund more overseas workers. After Lottie’s death on the mission field, an offering was started in her name. The offering was established to empower international mission efforts for Southern Baptists. Since 1845, the IMB has partnered with churches to send missionaries to live and work among those around the world with little to no access to the gospel. 100% of your offering goes to the work of bringing the gospel to every nation.The Lottie Moon offering funds missionary salaries, housing, medical care, children’s education, field transportation, and other expenses.“How many there are ... who imagine that because Jesus paid it all, they need pay nothing, forgetting that the prime object of their salvation was that they should follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ in bringing back a lost world to God.” Lottie MoonOur monetary support of and especially our prayers for Southern Baptist missionaries throughout the world is proof of our earnestness. POINSETTIASPoinsettias are now available to purchaseYou may purchase a poinsettia for $12 in memory or honor of a loved one to be displayed during Christmas in our sanctuary. Poinsettias may be picked up at the conclusion of the Christmas Eve service. They can be purchased with an envelope placed in the offering plate or in the church office. Deadline is December 9.

STUFFED ANIMALSChildren in TraumaThe Overcomers Sunday School Class is collecting stuffed animals to provide to the hospital for children who have been affected by trauma. If you would like to donate new stuffed animals, please drop them in the Overcomers class room 220M.
