Great to be back!
Thank you so much for all your prayers while I
was gone to the Philippines. I thank our Lord
for the privilege that He has given me, and
our church, to have a part in what He is doing
in that part of the world. The two ways God
has been using us are,
1) in prayer, and
2) in encouraging the frontliner church
planters.

Great to be Back (continued)
Our partners in southern
Philippines can look back and
be able to see the difference
in fruitfulness in the work that
is going on there before and
after the start of the concerted prayers from
partnering churches both in
the Philippines and in the
West. We need to continue to
pray for the Y and the
Tentmaker teams. We have
prayer cards available that
you can pick up and use for
you and your family. Set
aside a time during the week
to pray for them.
Another way the Lord has
been using us is to encourage
the frontliners. The letters
that our AWANA kids wrote to
the frontliners are very much
treasured by them. M, who is
in an isolated island, keeps
those letters in his Bible and
reads them especially when
he is lonely, trying to imagine
the faces of the kids who
wrote them.
Several from our church who
have been to the Philippines
and personally know the
frontliners communicate
through letters, e-mail and
Facebook.
The frontliners told me how much
they appreciate the contacts and
relationships that have been built
over the years.
I know that our Lord wants us to be fruitful not just in southern
Philippines but also here in San
Angelo. Our fruitfulness is
dependent upon our obedience to
Him and our reliance on prayer. I
want to encourage you to get a
notebook and make a list of
family members, friends and
neighbors who do not know the
Lord and begin to pray for them
at least once or twice a week.
Ask the Lord also for opportuni-ties for you to be able to share
Christ with them. Let us all pray
and expectantly watch what God
does in our lives, and in people's
lives.
“I urge, then, first of all,
that requests, prayers, interces-
sion and thanksgiving be made
for everyone” (1 Timothy 2:1)
“Be joyful always; pray
continually; give thanks in all
circumstances, for this is God’s
will for you in Christ Jesus.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
