Several of you told me that you were able to focus more on the meaning of Holy Week and Easter this year than ever before. I am thankful for that. Can I say a word of thanks for our team? They are second to none. They have a heart for God and for you. They are willing to think creavely and work long hours to minister to you during these days where we cant assemble. I am so proud of them. They have carried me along in these days, and I am grateful. Can I say a word of thanks for your generosity? You have come through in your usual generous ways during these days. Churches are concerned about how our inability to gather right now would impact finances. Some are hurng. But you are coming through. Some people are doing more than usual to make up for those who are not in a posion to do their usual right now. This is the church carrying each other. And I am grateful. As I menoned in a previous column, if you receive a government smulus check and dont need it, would you be willing to give it to the church so we can share with those who are in great need in this season? This is Acts 4 church in acon. Those who have sharing with those who dont. If you want to give, send a check to the church, and mark your giſt Quaranne Assist. Now a word of thanks for Keith Baker and his team for preparing meals for more than 50 families that need them right now. Keith is cooking. Many are delivering. What a blessing! We are exploring the possibility of providing a meal for our local Emergency Rooms a day or two a week ll this thing is over. Pray for us as we ex- plore the possibilies. We cant have our annual Mission Celebraon this year, but we are going to have something of a virtual celebraon as Kyle is seng up zoom interviews with some of our mission partners. THE MESSENGER Easter was different but significant. Thanks for the feedback. Many of us are finding a new focus on what matters most in our lives during these days.

Who’s Your One? What a great time to be in touch with

Your One. Check on them. See how they are doing. Inquire if there is anything you can do for them. Ask if they have any pray-er requests. Offer to Pray for them. And stay in touch with them on a regular basis!

Sewing Ladies Making Masks For: 5 Clinics, both

hospitals, grocery store employees, nurses, Alliance Rubber. Church Staff. Alliance Rubber also provided the elastic! Thank YOU!

FBC Meals on Wheels! Thanks to all who have been

serving with this effort! Keith Baker, our church cook is preparing special meals for those who were Homebound, to some who are ill or recovering from medical issues.

Connect Groups Zoomed! These Teachers have used

Zoom to have a virtual Connect Group: Gary Beckwith, Heidi Mote, Keith Baker, Cole Efird, Jeff Sheets, Dana Murphy, Tom Pul-lig, Margaret Coulter and Sandra Hardage! Let me know if others of you are doing this please. Great Fellowship, Prayer and Teach-ing going on. For a good tutorial, go to YouTube and type in “how to use zoom for teaching.”

Zoom Warning: There have been several instances around

the country when hackers have broken into Zoom meetings with profane language and bad pictures. To avoid this happening, only send the invitation to your group’s email list, not on social media. And use a password. And update your Zoom to the most recent version.

Staying in Touch! Keep Up the Good Work! Thank

you so much reaching out to everyone, members and prospects in your Connect Group during these days of opportunity. We need to stay in touch on a weekly basis!

Variety of Methods: Once you’ve called a person sever-

al times, you could use some other personal means occasionally like: personal emails, texts, Facebook Messenger, cards, and etc. Be creative! Please let me know of any good stories of your expe-rience.

Pastors Called 530 and counting! We were con-

cerned and called 530 who weren’t attending Connect Groups and now calling our Prospects. The people have seemed to really appre-ciate the personal call and concern and have shared many prayer requests. Please read and pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 everyday at 7:14.

Love, Danny

The church family extends sympathy and prayer to Janet Horton and family in the death her husband, Lynn Horton; to David & Patricia Epperhart and family in the death of his mother; to Don & Cathy Slaton and family in the death of his brother, Doug Slaton; and to Gerald Mauldin and family in the death of his wife, Ina Mauldin. May God bless and comfort you.

Fitness & Recreation Ministry While this past Holy Week was unlike any Easter season most of us have ever experienced, I hope you were able to journey to the cross with Jesus and celebrate his resurrec-tion Sunday! These are some of my memories

“His heart beats; His blood begins to flow. Waking up what was dead a moment ago.

And His heart beats, now everything is changed, 'Cause the blood that brought us peace with God

is racing through His veins. And His heart beats. His heart beats.

He breathes in. His living lungs expand. The heavy air surrounding death turns to breath again.

He breathes out. He is word and flesh once more. The Lamb of God slain for us is a Lion ready to roar

And His heart beats

So crown Him the Lord of Life. Crown Him the Lord of Love. Crown Him the Lord of All.

He took one breath And put death to death.

Where is your sting, O grave? How grave is your defeat.

I know, I know His heart beats.”

Above is the opening stanzas and chorus from the song His Heart Beats by Andrew Peterson. Find the song online. Lis-ten, more than a few times. Read the lyrics. Be encouraged, brothers and sisters. God is working. He has been faithful in our past. He will prove Himself faithful again!

Until we all fall down, Wallace
