A word from the Chairman of the board
a word from theChief executive officer
It is with great pleasure that we are presenting the MEDTEQ Activity Report for 2017-2018. This year was a year of consolidation and growth. We welcomed 28 new members to our community of practice. Moreover, we supported 15 new projects, 6 more than the year prior. We also added new funding programs that will be deployed
in Quebec and Canada, while extending our international partnerships. I would like to thank the Quebec Ministry of Economy, Science and Innovation for its support, as well as all our members and partners: we share this success together!
In this end of the 2017-2018 fiscal year, it is time to celebrate! MEDTEQ is five years old and we are delighted by the growth of our members and of the medtech sector. The past year was a key year for us and this year will be of expansion. We are proud of our accomplishments and of those of our members and we will now be exploring new horizons. After five years of evolution and consolidation,
the contributions of our members’ activities is tangible and quantifiable. We can now talk about a “MEDTEQ effect”!

The annual forum
The pecha kucha competitionMEDTEQ organizes annually, a student competition. In 2018, it was done in the form of an oral presentation, combined with a projection of 6 slides each one lasting 20 seconds. The Pecha Kucha formula gives great visibility to the students themselves, as well as their research projects.
The participation in our annual forum keeps increasing, and all the players of the Quebec medical technologies ecosystem were represented
a major eventMEDTEQ invited the Quebec medical technologies ecosystem on January 17th at La Grande Bibliothèque de Montréal. In this knowledge center, we organized a day to exchanges, reflection, dialogue and networking.
The MEDTEQ Forum is organized every year to inspire, mobilize, challenges solutions and ideas, and to initiate collaborations.
This year, MEDTEQ also created inks with Israel and consolidated its collaborations with Paris and its surrounding region, as well as with Strasbourg.
