West and Mid-Taurus mountains run parallel to the coast line.

There are 8 cities in our region: Antalya, Adana, Mersin, Hatay, Isparta, Burdur, Kahramanmaras, and Osmaniye.

Because of the archeological and natural riches of the area, Antalya is called the Turkish Riviera. The city was founded in the second century B.C. by Attalus II, a king of Pergamon, and he named the city Attaleai after himself. Romans, Byzantines and Selcuks in turn occupied the city before it came under Ottoman rule.
