YouthWorks! updateThis summer has flownby! We are about to startour final week ofprogramming here in

Nashville. So far, we have had 26 different

youth groupsfrom around the UnitedStates attend with three more coming thisweek. Throughout the six weeks ofprogramming, we have visited abouttwenty service sites around the Nashvilleand Franklin areas some of which includeNashville Rescue Mission, BethlehemCenter, Harvest Hands, and McKendreeDay Camp at Watkins Park. The staff and Ihave enjoyed learning the ins and outs ofNashville and of the church we havecalled home since May.All four staffaregreatly appreciative of the church staffand congregation who have been so

YouthWorks was one of the best experiences ofmy life. I will never forget it for as long as I live. Itlead me further forward in my walk with Godand taught me so much. VBS Wrap-up!Vacation Bible School2010 was a blast - aGalactic Blast! Over50 children and adultsparticipated in music,games, crafts, Bible stories, and a verysuccessful mission project. The childrendonated their money (some donated theirentire allowance over a couple of weeks!)to fund Mission: Backpacks 4 Kids, a Toolsfor Schools project the TN Conference ofthe United Methodist Church is supportingthis Fall. The children raised over $125 for thiscause in just four weeks! We are so proudof them, and we are so grateful for ouradult volunteers who put in hours ofpreparation, prayer, and leadership tomake this years Vacation Bible School asuccess!
