The Farmers plants were dying, why he could not tell.

If this goes on much longer he’ll have nothing left to sell.

His wife she started crying, it really was quite tragic.

They just had to find a cure, a little bit of magic.

The Manure Song

Chorus (Farmer’s voice)

If you want your plants to grow how can you be sure...plant them in the soil, then sprinkle on manure.

The manure it may not smell so good, in fact it’s pretty bad.

But have no doubt; don’t be unsure your plants will grow like mad.

Then one day to their surprise some plants began to grow...

what could be the reason, they just had to know.

So they did not go to bed on that starry night

as they looked through the window, what an amazing sight.

Working in the garden a friendly rat was busy running in between the plants, he made them feel quite dizzy.

He sprinkled something on the ground;

it did not take him long,

and as he went about his work he sang this little song.

That friendly rat has saved the day our plants they are the best...

Oh I’ll build you a house I cried; my wife will knit a vest.
