Jeremiah's Crossing is a nonprofit - 501(c)(3) therapeutic horseback riding center, located in central Wisconsin, dedicated to providing equine assisted activities lessons that are specially designed for individuals with special needs.

It is a place where crutches, wheel chairs, walkers and canes are left behind and freedom is gained on the back of a horse. Where we often hear, "Look, Mom! I'm flying," and see miracles happen.

~ No one pays a fee for lessons at Jeremiah’s Crossing.

~ By attending The Mane Quilt Show you are supporting horseback-riding lessons for people with cognitive, physical, emotional, and academic

special needs.

~ Jeremiah’s Crossing has been providing lessons since 2006.

~ 18 horses served 75 students last summer.

Elinor Grabske Czarnecki, an author, teacher, new product developer, and craft needlework designer, has been a part of the Wisconsin quilting community since she founded “Wandering Foot Quilt Guild,” the first in Wisconsin.

Elinor began quilting in 1974 when she had corduroy fabric leftover from making rompers for her sons. She either machine or hand pieces her quilts, but only hand quilts them. She is most recognized for her hand quilting,

her favorite.

Elinor began creating one inch to one foot scale quilts when she began to outfit her beautiful doll house. She is a member of N.A.M.E, the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts.

When asked what is her greatest joy in quilting, she answered with a smile, “The people! I truly enjoy seeing my students’ quilts win awards.”

A member of PAAQT, the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles. Studied Insurance Appraisals, Fair Market Appraisal and Hands On Appraising, Fabric Dating and Quilt Restoration.

This is what Jeremiah's Crossing means to me... Horses - Fun - Outside - Friends that aren't afraid of me.

It is a place where I can sing to my hearts content.

It never matters who you are, where you come from, what you have or don't have - everyone is equal on the horses. Sure I have goals that I need to overcome - fears and anxiety (mom's and dad's), but for me, it's a great way to strengthen my "core," increase my ability to "balance," and helps to increase my "range of motion!"

I am also learning and listening to "others" give direction with an expectation that I'm going to follow through and do!

It is a way for me to be like others. It gives me a sense of belonging, independence, and accomplishment! 

I am around people who ACCEPT and WANT me to BE THERE!

This wonderful "activity" is designed just for me! I am ok just the way I am!

ENTRY DETAILS:

Entry Deadline is April 1, 2019 Open to all quilt makers.

Each person may enter up to four items, but only one item per category.

Entry fees are $5 per item. INCLUDES YOUR FREE ADMISSION to the show, and A FREE QUILT RAFFLE TICKET.

Entry committee/judges reserve the right to re-classify entries as necessary.

First, Second, and Third Place ribbons & monetary awards for each category.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP DETAILS:

Quilts may be dropped off at the home of Kathleen Harris - 2440 County HWY X, Babcock. Please call Kathleen (715.459.2551) for directions and appointment for drop off.

Quilts may also be dropped off on Friday, April 26 at The Ridges from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

Quilts must be checked out on Sunday, April 28 from 2:45 pm - 4:00 pm. To make other arrangements, please indicate on the entry form.
