LORD’S DAY, April 8, 2018 Congregation, we worship a God who is at once Merciful and Mighty, Loving and Holy, Near and Far. For this reason we must approach Him in a two-fold way; boldly and reverently. Come to Him today through Jesus Christ. Draw near to Him not only with your bodies but also your hearts. We extend a warm welcome to those who are visiting with us today. We are glad to have you join us in praise of our Lord and Savior. Coffee is available in the fellowship hall after our morning worship service. WORSHIP NOTES Next Lord’s Day, Lord willing, we will have the opportunity to partake of the Lord’s Supper. Please use the communion devotions (Series13) that you have at home to help prepare our hearts during this week. We will have the reading of the Preparatory this morning. The Girls Club will be singing for the Song Service this evening. PRAYER REQUEST We praise God that John Anema’s surgery went well. Please continue to remember him in your prayers as he recuperates. ANNOUNCEMENTS Seychelles - A small chain of islands north of Madagascar, Seychelles contains many inhabitants who claim to be Christian. Specific prayer needs of our URCNA missionaries: Rev. Andrew Spriensma is a chaplain in the US Army: Please pray for the Lord to continually open doors for gospel ministry here among the soldiers. Pray for the Spirit to attend to the Word with power so that lives would be transformed, and soldiers would return home closer to Jesus than ever before, and pray for my family as we are separated from one another during my deployment to the Middle East.
