Kuntala Roychoudhury is a post-graduate in Law anda photographer by passion. She belongs to the NorthEastern part of India. India - especially the northeastern part - is one of the hotspots of biodiversity;and she has grown up in a city named Guwahati,which is surrounded by beautiful hills, forests andwater bodies. Since an early age KuntalaRoychoudhury has been enchanted by the beauty ofnature, and this slowly inspired her to the step into theexciting world of photography. Her photography journey starts in 2012 when shegets her first entry level DSLR camera, a Canon 550D. Kuntala does not have any formal training onphotography: she is mostly a self-taughtphotographer, though she gets tips/help from various
photographers of her country. She practices varioustypes of photography, in order to make herself growin this field everyday: inter alia, she loves wildlife andmacro photography the most. For her, photography ismeditation: which gives her satisfaction, happinessand peace. Currently she uses a professional camera andundertakes various projects related to photography:apart from being an avid photographer herself, shealso mentors photography workshops and fieldworksin the region. She has participated in many nationaland international shows, circuits and competitons -where she has bagged many awards andrecognitions - and has also participated in variousState and national exhibitions. .
