Nominations are being sought for Mail Manager of the Year. This award honors individuals who have achieved significant cost reductions or revenue growth through the innovative use of postal products and services.

Eligibility Requirements: 1. Must have been employed in the Mail Industry 5 years. 2. Must be a member of your local PCC or attended a postal conference in the last 5 years. 3. Must manage a Mailing Center.

Zen Thomas Friend of the PCC Industry AwardNominations are being accepted for Friend of the PCC Industry Award. Over a period of time, this person has made a significant contribution of time, knowledge, talent and enthusiasm to the Mailing Industry. This has become an annual award to recognize a person chosen from the nominees.

Keynote Speakers

Danny Jackson, Director postal operations and security.

Danny has worked for Netflix for the last 6 years. He is responsible for directing all postal operations and security issues for DVD delivery within the company. Netflix is the leading provider of on demand internet streaming for movies in North and South America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland as well as delivery of DVDs throughout the United States via the US Postal Service. Currently, Netflix mails out between 5-6 million DVDs weekly and has them returned to their distribution centers located around the country. This spring Netflix announced that they had mailed 4 billion

DVDs since they started mailing back in 1997.

Danny also worked for the US Postal Service for 37 years and retired as the area vice president operations Great Lakes area in 2003. He directed all postal delivery, processing, and retail activities in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, half of Missouri, and Wisconsin. He was recognized by the USPS board of governors and USPS senior management for his many contributions to service improvements, expense reduction, revenue increases and outstanding relationships with customers and his employees.

He is married. He and his wife Eva have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. He is a Vietnam veteran having served in the 101st airborne division 1969-1970. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and from Stanford University with a master’s degree in management.

David F. Martin was named District Manager and Lead Executive for the Gateway Performance Cluster in June, 2010.

In this position, he has administrative accountability and operational oversight for the processing and delivery of mail to more than 1.8 million addresses across Central and Northeastern Missouri and all of Southern Illinois. He is responsible for 738 postal offices, a processing and distribution center, two processing and distribution facilities, and

approximately 10,000 career employees. Martin joined the Postal Service in 1979 as a letter carrier in Santa Monica, CA. During his career with the Postal Service, he advanced through positions of increasing responsibility including Postmaster, Dallas, Texas; District Manager, Albuquerque; and District Manager of the Lakeland District in Wisconsin.

A Phoenix, Arizona, native, Martin is a Marine Corps veteran and a graduate of the Postal Service’s Advance Leadership Program. He earned a MBA from Arizona State University and an undergraduate degree in business from Western International University. He and his wife, Joanne, have five children.
