WW 0294 19 North Carolina Pin Traders
Honoring Camp Dogwood Over 50 Years of Service
FYI, we have enlarged the picture part of the pin to the left to give you a better view of the outstanding facility known as Camp Dogwood, which is the site of the NCLPTC Annual Pin Swap. This is looking from Lake Norman up to the building where the swap is actually held. This is but one building of several on the campus of Lake Dogwood. The overall facility and the warm hospitality of the North Carolina traders help to make this one of the truly inviting swaps each year.
WW-34
Just a few facts about Lake Norman. The lake was created between 1959 and 1964 as part of the con-struction of the Cowans Ford Dam project by Duke Energy. It is the largest man-made body of fresh water in North Carolina. Lake Norman covers 1,790 square miles and is 33.6 miles in length with a maximum width of 9 miles. There are 520 miles of shore length. These are just a few of the facts that help you to better understand why this pin issued by the NCLPTC is a prime example of the Wonderful World of Water.

CHANGE TO WONDERFUL WORLD OF WATER CATALOG
At the specific request of Lion Tom Antikainen, Presi-dent of the 5M Pin Trading Club, the descriptions of two pins, WW 0220 18 and WW 0221 18 on page WW-25, have been changed to reflect that the pins are personal issues and not 5M Pin Trading Club issues. Although the wording on the pins clearly indicate otherwise, we are re-specting the wishes of President Tom. FYI, a page
substitution is provided following this page.
