Linking Class Visits and My ChildWhat might my child do?
Why?How can I support this at home?
How do we all live together?What might my child do?- Look at both classes ideas about places they love. As part of
a pair, decide 2 things they love about the world and create bunting
- Create artwork inspired by the book ‘Here We Are’ by Oliver Jeffers
- Make green hearts with pictures or words about things that they love
- On an outline of Planet Earth, draw places, animals and people that are special to them and the rest of their group

Homes What might my child do?- Look at pictures of different types of houses - In pairs or groups, build a mini home for a pebble- Build dens in groups/junk models of homes/Lego houses Why?- To think about where we live and how we all live togetherHow can I support this at home?Build a den with my child out of cushions and blankets.

Only One YouWhat might my child do?- Art and craft: Make unique fish out of different
materials with a partner from their Link school- Drama: Freeze frames or mimes of things they enjoy
doing- Music: Rhythms of names, body percussion and
chants to make a mini performance. Why?- To explore who they are and think about who other
people are - To encourage creativityHow can I support this at home?Play a mime game. Take it in turns to mime activities you enjoy doing as a family. Can each of your guess the mime correctly?
More in CommonWhat might my child do?- Play a similarities & differences game- Explore similarities and differences between their school
and their Linking school- In groups of 4, be given a lemon/potato to name and
notice details about, return them to the main basket and see if the can still recognise them

What might my child do?- Look at the Freedom Park picture and, as part of a
group, plan their own Freedom Park or ideal school/town
- Make banners of values, rights and responsibilities- Look for visible and invisible difference and
similarities between themselves and othersWhy?- To think about who we are and how we all live
together- To develop collaborative approaches to problem
