Principal’s Message
It has been another busy week at EPS since our last newsletter! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles who visited our school during Education Week. I know all the kids really enjoyed showing off all the wonderful things we do here at Eugowra Public School. Last Friday Clare, Hannah, Hayley, Macey, Ben, Levi and Adam braved the freezing cold and travelled to Parkes to compete at the District Athletics carnival. The staff and students are very proud of all these talented students who represented our school so well. In particular I would like to congratulate our relay team consisting of Hannah, Macey, Ben and Levi who WON their event. They will now travel to Dubbo on September 13th. What a tremendous effort! This week we had a substantial donation by a well-known Eugowra family to go towards our mural on the front of the school. We are very grateful for this generous donation. The P & C are currently running a raffle with the prize of an Inglevale Heritage Farm and Trail Riding Voucher (for 1 child 5-13 years). This wonderful prize is valued at $165. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. The raffle will be drawn on Friday 6th September. Tickets are available for purchase from the front office.

To celebrate this milestone, we will be opening the school grounds up on Sunday 15th September. We will have a cake, tea and coffee with memorabilia displayed and classroom tours. Please pencil this date in your diary! Finally can I urge all parents, family and community members to please purchase tickets to the Forbes Small Schools Creative Arts Showcase being held on Monday 23rd September at 5:30pm at the Forbes Town Hall. Tickets are available from the school office for $5 per adult (school-aged children are FREE).
