Our April Luncheon has beenCancelled
Due to the ongoing concerns over theCoronavirus and with a focus on the healthand well-being of our membership, we are
canceling the April 7th NRC luncheon. At thistime, we plan to hold the May 5th luncheon
as planned and will host Assembly candidatesfor you to meet and learn more about. We
thank Cili Restaurant for their help andunderstanding as we keep the health of our
membership at the forefront of our efforts atthis time. Until then, please take care of
yourselves and each other.
In preparation for the very importantJune primary on June 9, 2020 and theelection of judicial candidates, theClub has solicited opinions andcomments from a multitude ofConservative attorneys, courthouseinsiders and Republican leaders aboutjudicial candidates. In addition, Clubleaders have researched thebackgrounds, competence andexperience of the judicial candidates. Club leaders have also viewed thejudicial candidate debates televisedby the Review-Journal. In short, yourBoard of Directors has undertaken agreat deal of time and research tobring YOU, our members, our most-informed opinions about the judicialcandidates. The results of our research will bepublished on our Nevada RepublicanClub website and our Facebook page(www.nevadarepublicanclub.com) bythe end of this month, March 2020.Subject to our printer being open forbusiness, the Club intends to publish50,000 copies of our "slate card" andwill distribute the card widely to otherConservative clubs and organizations. Be sure to check our website later thismonth!

For many of our active Club members, sitting at home isnot an option! We are energetic, engaged and want to makea difference. Here are some tips & tricks on how to enjoy thesilver lining of this "social distancing."

Judge Herndon is the Chief Presiding CriminalJudge who oversees the operation of theCriminal Division of the Eighth Judicial DistrictCourt system. He serves on the Eighth JudicialDistrict Court’s Executive Committee. JudgeHerndon has also served as the Eighth JudicialDistrict Court’s Head Election Issues Judge, hasserved on the Court’s Security Task Force andwas appointed by the Nevada District JudgesAssociation as its representative.
Upon taking the Bench Judge Villani has twiceserved as a Group Facilitator/Leader for theNational Judicial College General Jurisdictioncourse for new judges. He has served in the sameposition for their courses in Advanced Ethics ForJudges and Advanced Search and Seizure Law. Judge Villani has been on the Court’s ExecutiveCommittee for the last three years. Presently,Judge Villani is the Criminal Presiding Judge.

He is admitted to practice in Nevadafederal and state courts, federal courts in Floridaand Colorado, and US Courts of Appeals for theNinth, Tenth, and Federal Circuits. Jacob attendedBYU for his undergraduate studies where hecompleted a double major in Philosophy andEconomics. Upon graduation, Jacob attended theHumane Studies institute at Princeton University.

Dr. Steven DeLisle has a Bachelor’s Degree inBiochemistry from the University of San Diego; aDoctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from theUniversity of Washington; and a DentalAnesthesia residency at Loma Linda University.His priorities include protecting parental rights,property rights, self-defense, religious liberty, andfree speech. The combination of his legal,medical, and small business background hasprepared Dr. DeLisle to tackle important issues inthe State Assembly.
