A special note of appreciation goes out to the eleven members who contributed additional funds over the $35 that was billed. Thanksgiving was made better for sixteen Lexington families who received a turkey from those members who played in the Beat the Pro Turkey Shoot. The entry fee was a frozen turkey, which was donated to the Rockbridge Area Relief Association to assist families in need through their food pantry. In addition, Jeff, Tom, and Mike were in the spirit of giving, allowing 13 members to earn double shop credit for beating the Pros! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! FROM THE PRESIDENTThanks to you, our Lexington Golf and Country Club employees will have a merrier holiday, as $11,775 will be disbursed to our staff, the people who make our club experience happen. A special note of appreciation goes out to the eleven members who contributed additional funds over the $35 that was billed.

Thanksgiving was made better for sixteen Lexington families who received a turkey from those members who played in the Beat the Pro Turkey Shoot. The entry fee was a frozen turkey, which was donated to the Rockbridge Area Relief Association to assist families in need through their food pantry.

FROM THE GOLF PROFESSIONALJust a short time ago(on April 11) I moved to the Lexington area and began working for LGCC as the Head Golf Professional. I have very much enjoyed my new job and have enjoyed getting to know everyone. We have a very nice facility and a very friendly membership which has been a pleasure to work for. Also a big thank you to the Board of Directors and Up To Par Management for bringing in the new fleet of Yamaha carts. The new fleet has many new improvements.

I look forward to the 2017 season and would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

FROM THE SUPERINTENDENTMost of the leaves have finally dropped and have been cleaned up. Always the most frustrating time of the year. The irrigation system has been winterized and we are preparing to start our sharpening and preventative maintenance on the equipment.

I want to thank everyone for their encouraging words and suggestions throughout the year. It certainly helps get us over the hump during trying times. I also want to thank Jerry, Lee, and Charles for all their hard work this year. I am impressed by the amount of work they get done week after week. They are really the ones that keep the course in shape.

A SENIOR MOMENT by Mike EvansThe seniors celebrated their winning season with a closing scramble and banquet on October 27. Thirty-six men (nine four-man teams) participated in the scramble. The winning foursomes were: 1st Place: Bozeman-Atkins-Burks-Shrack, 2nd Place: Sullivan-Cranberry-Anderson-Crawford, 3rd Place: Siebert-Joyce-Hill-Russell. At the closing banquet Seniors Captain, Lynn McCoy, recognized the following men for their achievements and service this season:
