The Profloor story

Profloor started out with the simple objective of making hardwood floor fitting easier, quicker and free of the traditionally-associated hazardous products. Now well established and leading the marketplace with a complete system of innovative and carefully-developed products, the Profloor approach transforms the whole experience of fitting hardwood flooring, making it safer, greener and many times more efficient.

Profloor products eliminate the deeply-hazardous elements within conventional flooring products, containing nothing more than the normal cement-based irritant in the Self-Levelling Compound. The high-odour, hazardous adhesives, DPM’s and so on are gone, replaced with user-friendly alternatives that boast enhanced effectiveness.

PROFLEX ULTRA Flexible Wood Flooring Adhesive

ProFlex Ultra adhesive boasts the best of MS Polymer development for hardwood floors. Unlike other alternatives, it is completely solvent-free and therefore very low hazard, yet offers superior bead stability when trowelled or applied by gun, and outstanding tensile strength and elasticity once cured. Boasting a rapid set-speed, its water-free formulation also ensures no damage to wood.

ProFlex Ultra is exceptionally easy to spread and is simply cleaned off hands and tools after use with ProFlex Pro Wipes, leaving no unpleasant residue. Its long ‘pot life’ allows time to take care over a job, and makes it possible to reuse the product even after the container has been opened and resealed.

FLOORPREP DPMMoisture Vapour Suppressant

FloorPrep Fastrack DPM revolutionises moisture-sealing of fl oors in preparation for wood fl ooring, and is effective against classic rising damp and residual construction moisture. Providing a welcome replacement to hazardous two-part systems, Fastrack DPM is a water-based, single-component system that can be applied quickly and easily by means of a standard roller and tray.

A single 0.2mm coat provides a highly-effective moisture-and-vapour suppressant, and is normally ready for laying onto within 30 minutes of application, changing from blue to a clear fi lm when dry. Clean up is just as simple, using warm, soapy water, making this the most effective and convenient DPM to date.


FloorPrep Fastrack DPM – 5 Litre containerConvenient container of unique, single-component DPM, simply applied with a standard roller – one coat only required. Works up to 97% RH moisture reading.

FLOORPREP SELF-LEVELLING COMPOUND Latex Underlayment

This newly developed Self-Levelling Compound range provides enhanced performance based on a 2-part, moisture-resistant formulation. It is suitable for use with all other FloorPrep products, and, unlike other self-levelling compounds, is applied prior to the Fastrack DPM. Its fast-setting property makes it convenient in use and, as protein-free, it can be used in biologically-sensitive areas.

Conforming to the Profloor brand objective, this Self-Levelling Compound reduces any hazardous element to the lowest possible level*, and is virtually odour free. Easy to mix and apply, it quickly produces a smooth, stable surface, suitable for laying the perfect hardwood floor.


FloorPrep Self-Levelling Compound –

22kg powder + 4.3kg Latex liquidAdvanced self-levelling compound providing suitable preparation for hardwood floors. Fast-setting – accepts foot traffic after approx. 90 minutes.

* Involves only the normal cement-based irritant property.

FLOORPREP FLOOR BINDER Surface Primer

Ideally suited to hardwood floors, Floor Binder is an essential part of the Profloor range, stabilising loose and dusty sub-floors to create a stable surface for adhering flooring to. Removing the adverse effects of suction from the substrate, including pin-holing and premature drying of the screed, FloorPrep Floor Binder is an integral part of laying a successful hardwood floor.

Like all Profloor products, Floor Binder eliminates the hazardous elements of floor laying and is a straightforward, user-friendly product with almost no odour. Applied by brush or roller, it covers generously and dries quickly, ready for laying flooring directly on top or as preparation for FloorPrep Self-Levelling Compound or Fastrack DPM.

PVA ADHESIVE For Wood Flooring

Tested to BSEN204, grade D2, it offers water resistance for internal applications and superior adhesion strength, based on a specialist formulation.

Providing an excellent wood-to-wood bond, Proflex PVA can be used to seal joints between boards as well as the edges of floating floors. Available in 4 convenient container sizes to suit all levels of requirement, it is specifically designed for professional tradesmen and the highest standard of workmanship.
