Scholarship Application Promoting Excellence Through Education The Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach Foundation, Inc. offers one of the largest scholarship programs in Florida awarding over $200,000 per year. The Foundation has distributed more than $3.4 million in scholarships since 1966. Each scholarship is renewable for all 4 years of college provided the student reapplies each year and maintains minimum requirements. The total value of the grant, if renewed, is between $10,000 to $16,000 over 4 years. The Foundation is committed to academic excellence. The goal is to help students who carry at least a 3.0 grade point average; have demonstrated good citizenship and community responsibility; and who have financial need. Generally, family income over $75,000 will reduce your chances of receiving a scholarship award. Copies of parents’ and students’ income tax returns are mandatory as is a current tax bill or property tax assessment. Awards vary in size depending on the cost of the school and the student’s financial need, but generally range from $2,500 to $4,000 annually. All grants are made without discrimination as to age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin or disability. To be eligible, students must plan to attend college full-time. High school students must currently live AND attend a high school in the geographic area described as north to PGA Boulevard, west to the Glades and south to Hypoluxo Road.
