Genealogist: Shall perform such genealogical research as may be requested by the State or Chapter Registrar and provide instructional seminars for Chapter Registrars pertaining to genealogical research and proper completion of applications.
Article XIII - Amendment
This Constitution may be amended at any annual meeting of the Kentucky Society, provided the proposed amendments have been sent to each member along with the call for the meeting. Anofficial notice published in the KYSSAR newsletter meets this requirement. An affirmative vote of two-thirds of those members present and in good standing shall be required for the adoption of any amendment.

John H. Huffman, Sr. Memorial Photographic Award
This award was created and funded annually by Douglas and Alison Collins as a memorial to John H. Huff-man, Sr. (1950-2016). John was a 10-year SAR member and former President of the Louisville-Thruston Chapter (2012-2013). His dedication to ensuring chapter events were documented through his photography was a priority for him. The annual award of $100 shall recognize and reward the Kentucky Society Compatriot (primary or dual member) whose photographic entry is selected as the most representative of patriotism. An SAR certificate, appropriately embossed, shall accompany the cash award. Entries are to be no greater than 8½” x 11” in size, unmatted and unframed, and may be in color or black-and-white. Hi-resolution digital copies of photographs may be requested to facilitate judging and publication of the winning photograph. Only one entry per compatriot will be accepted. Entries are to be sent no later than February 28 of each calendar year to:

[email protected] Judges shall be selected from a pool of candidates including, but not limited to: SAR Magazine Editor, professional photographer, KYSSAR Newsletter Editor, KYSSAR Chapter Newsletter Editor(s). Judges will reach their decision in whatever manner they deem appropriate, so long as only one picture is selected as the winner. Announcement of the winner and presentation of the check and certificate will occur at the KYSSAR Annual Meeting held in March of each year. The winning entry will be submitted to the SAR Magazine Editor, who will be requested to run a reproduction of the winning photo each year in the issue of the SAR Magazine. All entries become the property of the Kentucky Society Sons of the American Revolution and will not be returned. The third annual award will be presented in 2019 at the KYSSAR Annual Meeting.

Volunteer by going to the Wheelchairgames web site and clicking the first time attending the games. Complete the volunteer application and submit. Selection options can be by day and time, event, or venue and location. Ten events are at the Ky. International Convention Center and ten events in the surrounding metro area. Event examples are archery, 9-ball, basketball, and softball at the KICC and metro location events bowling (King Pin Lanes), swimming (Mary T Meagher Aquatic Center), golf (Quail Chase), Javlin, shot put, discus (Pope Lick Park).
Donations and sponsors to support the KIPVA host team can be mailed
to: KIPVA, 2835 Holmans Lane, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. 20 events and over 500 veteran athletes from all over the United States will be competing.
