ATTENDANCE Attendance is very important here at the KC. Please
make sure your child is in school every day if possible.
If students aren’t in school, they are missing out on
exciting lessons and wonderful learning experiences. If
your child is absent, please make sure and send a Dr.’s
excuse or a parent note explaining why they are absent.
Highlights from: Bear Boulevard
In the Bear Pod, we were so excited to start our day off by getting a special delivery from the North Pole.
The elves delivered our Santa letters. After we read our letters, we were ready to take an adventure around
the World to learn about Christmas Traditions in Australia, China, Mexico, and America. When we
returned from our journey we were exhausted, but had lots of fun learning about each country.
We enjoyed reading many different versions of The
Gingerbread Man. The students compared stories
and wrote their own version about who the
gingerbread man ran away from in the story. In
math, we used gingerbread men to help us learn
about graphs. We were given the opportunity to eat
our own gingerbread men, and then graphed where
we took our first bite! It was yummy!
Brrrrrrrr … It’s cold outside. While most bears are
hibernating, the BHKC Bears are learning and
exploring. In January, our activities will focus on
winter. We will learn about the winter season,
animals, clothing, and other winter activities. Our
bears are ready to SOAR in 2018!
