Method of Preparation and Administration of medicines administered by the Intravenous Route with the exception of Cytotoxics

The website is managed and administrated by Pharmacists at Imperial College Healthcare Trust.

Monographs are produced and updated by NHS Pharmacists throughout the UK in accordance with standard writing guidelines.

All paediatric monographs are reviewed by a Pharmacist from the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacist Group (NPPG).

All new and updated monographs are checked for accuracy and clarity by a regional Medicines Information Centre.

Purpose: reducing risk associated with injectable medicines

Access to the Injectable Medicines Guide Via the Medusa link in the Clinical Systems folder on all Desktops

of PC’s and COW devices.

• Ward staff login (if prompted):Username – DBHWARDPassword – bronze03

• Select route of administration from left hand menu

• Select the drug- type name of the drug in the search bar and click ‘go’.

- the drug/list of drugs will appear in the medicines index dropdown box.

- select from the list and click ‘show monograph’
